In 2004 when Simone was only 36, she was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. However, with enough support from her family and loved ones, she beat the disease.

After overcoming cancer, Simone set out to give back to society in her own little way. She created her own jewelry line to generate funds for charities like the American Cancer Society.
