Shemar Moore Mourns His Mom on the 1 Year Anniversary of Her Passing in a Heartbreaking Tribute
Talented actor Shemar Moore recently moved his fans and Instagram followers to tears as he marked the first anniversary of his mother's death with a touching tribute.
On Monday, February 8, it was officially one year since actor Shemar Moore lost his beloved mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore and he decided to remember the day in style.
Just before the day ended, the hunky actor took to his Instagram page to deliver a heartbreaking tribute in honor of his mom, in a way that showed how much she meant to him.

Moore shared a picture that featured some of his mom's favorite things, such as a bottle of wine, a half-filled glass of wine, a photo of himself and his mom, and a little note to her.
These items were neatly arranged on a sandy beach alongside a big picture frame of his late mom, with the ocean forming a fitting background. Moore captioned the photo:
"One Year.... Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore (September 6 1943 - February 8 2020) Mom loved life, people, her family, her friends, her wine...And the Ocean!!!"
Moore briefly touched on the strong bond he shared with his mom and emphasized how much he missed her. "The Young and the Restless" star concluded his tribute with a kiss emoji.
Moore also lent his voice to the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of the brutal killing of George Floyd by some police officers.
Since midnight, the actor's post has garnered more than four thousand comments, with many of his followers offering prayers and words of encouragement to Moore.
Last year, the actor broke the news of his mom's death through an emotional Instagram post, which he shared with his followers on February 19.
The bereaved actor shared memorable images with his mother in a series of emotionally charged videos. He admitted that he was having difficulty dealing with the news. While sharing the post, he wrote:
"my mother, best friend, and partner in crime passed away February 8 at 76 years old... I miss her more than I ever thought possible..."
It is not a hidden secret that Moore is biracial. Over the years, he has been very vocal about his heritage, and while he was closer to his white mom, he is still very proud of his Black roots.
Last year, Moore also lent his voice to the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of the brutal killing of George Floyd by some police officers. He also vowed to continue to use his platform as an actor to call attention to the plight of Black people in America.
Moore is undoubtedly one of the more recognizable faces in Hollywood, and at 50, the actor continues to make women swoon with his performances, but more for his dashing good looks.
The world is indebted to Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore for creating such a fine young man. And even though death has taken her away, she continues to live through every single breath Moore takes.
