Brittany Matthews Praises Her Fiancé Patrick Mahomes after His Team Lost at Super Bowl 2021
Patrick Mahomes might have suffered defeat with his team on Super Bowl LV, but at least his fiancé, Brittany Matthews, is still proud of him. Matthews took to her social media to praise Mahomes with a sweet Tweet.
Brittany Matthews has let the world know that she is proud of her fiancé, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes, who took on the Tampa Buccaneers in Sunday's Super Bowl final, plays Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The star athlete would no doubt have needed some consoling following their 31-9 defeat, and Matthews provided just the comfort he needed.

Matthews took to Twitter to share how proud she was of her fiancé, with whom she is expecting a daughter. The personal trainer's message was thoughtful and coupled with some humor, as she Tweeted:
"Not how we wanted it to end, but 15 played his heart out and I’m always and forever proud of him in everything he does! Now let’s have a baby."
Mahomes took to the social media app to share his own message, where he admitted the team hadn't achieved the result he wanted but promised a triumphant return, coupled with fist pump emoji.
The couple, both 25, began dating at Whitehouse High School in Texas. Mahomes played for the school's football team while Matthews displayed her talents on the soccer pitch.
She went on to be signed to Iceland’s UMF Afturelding/Fram team.
When KCSP 610 Sports Radio asked what the scariest thing was that Mahomes had experienced besides the fourth quarter at the Super Bowl, the dad-to-be replied that proposing to Matthews was terrifying.
Mahomes got down on his knee the same day as the Chiefs' 2020 Ring Ceremony, which was also one day after his fiancé's 25th birthday. Matthews shared her elation in a loving post on Instagram, writing in her caption:
"On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us."
The couple then shared even more good news with fans, announcing their pregnancy shortly after being engaged. The mom-to-be has often been spotted proudly displaying her baby bump at Mahomes' games.
Matthews achieved success in her own right as an athlete when she became a collegiate soccer star at the University of Texas at Tyler. She went on to be signed to Iceland’s UMF Afturelding/Fram team.
After qualifying in kinesiology from UT Tyler, Matthews developed a love for fitness and put her soccer days behind her to start a business as a personal trainer.
Matthews is a vocal supporter of Mahomes' achievements. When the Chiefs qualified for the 2021 Super Bowl final in January, Matthews shared a snap of herself with her fiancé, writing how proud she was of him.
With the stress of the Super Bowl final now behind them, Mahomes and Matthews can focus on preparations to welcome their little one. And judging by Matthews Tweet, she cannot wait for her to arrive.
