On Valentine's Day, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle delighted many with the announcement that they are expecting a baby. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news to reporters.

According to the spokesperson, the royal couple is overjoyed to be expecting a second child. However, there were no words about the baby's gender or due date.

Accompanying the announcement was a black and white photo that the photographer Misa Harriman took of the royal couple. The picture showed Meghan in a gown, holding her baby bump with her right hand.

She is lying on the grass and on the left leg of her husband, who smiled as he placed his right hand lovingly on her hair while she smiled back, looking at him.

That is the sort of family Harry and Meghan have always craved. A friend of the couple told People that they have "always imagined their family of four" and are delighted at the reality of becoming one, finally.

When Meghan gives birth to baby number two, the newborn will have a special place in the couple's home in California, which they officially bought in June 2020.

The couple has given glimpses of their home when making several virtual appearances, and from those glimpses, it is apparent that they took their time to turn the house into a home.

When their baby is born, he or she can enjoy playing with big brother Archie in their private playground. Judging by Archie's nursery, the baby also has so much to look forward to.

Although Harry and Meghan are delighted with the news of their pregnancy, they were also nervous about it at first. The pregnancy is coming just months after Meghan revealed in July in a New York Times article that she suffered a miscarriage.

Following the miscarriage, Meghan and Harry were hopeful of getting pregnant again and are now overjoyed it happened very quickly.

Their fans will now hope for a safe pregnancy and delivery and more cheerful baby news from the couple in the months to come.
