Marlon Wayans Shares Photo of His Curly-Haired Ex-wife & Mom to His Kids, Angelica on Her B-Day

Marlon Wayans' beautiful ex-wife, Angelica Zachary, recently celebrated her birthday, and the "White Chicks" actor showed his appreciation for her with a sweet tribute on his Instagram page.

American actor Marlon Wayans' marriage to Angelica Zachary may have ended years ago, but the pair who share two children still have a great friendship that has survived the test of time.

For that reason, the comedian didn't miss out on the chance to prove his love for her when she celebrated another birthday. Wayans took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute in her honor.

Wayans posted a gorgeous close-up photo of Zachary's youthful face. She was captured looking away from the camera with her lush curly hair cascading down her cheeks.

In his caption, the "White Chicks" actor praised his ex-wife for being a beautiful soul and one of the best people he has ever met. Before thanking her for giving him his two children, he wrote:

"Thank [you] for loving me in silence. To just know you’re there. The Bible says love is not loud. And you’ve been biblical and magical."

The emotional tribute did not go unnoticed by Wayans' fans who praised him for having such a great relationship with Zachary years after their divorce.

One fan commented, "I love how he respects her as a woman and the mother of his children," while another added, "I love her too for being there for you and your children. Congratulations on having true love."

This isn't the first time that Wayans has displayed his platonic affection for his ex-wife. On her birthday in 2018, the actor penned a detailed heartfelt message to Zachary, which he shared on Instagram.

In the message, Wayans vowed to always be there for Zachary as long as he lives, just as he promised to her father on his deathbed. He even thanked her for becoming his best friend despite his transgressions.

Wayans and Zachary split in 2013 after he was caught on a yacht with another woman. The pair had been married since 2005 and together for 12 years.

Following their divorce, the pair continued to be close friends, creating a healthy environment for their kids, Amai Zackary Wayans, 20, and Shawn Howell Wayans, 19, named after Wayans' brother.

Wayans and Zachary's respectful relationship has allowed them to co-parent amicably and remain a family. In an exclusive interview with ET, he reiterated:

"I'll always have nothing but love and respect for that woman. I think of her as my family."

During the same interview, he revealed that Zachary is not the only friend he has in the family. The "Scary Movie" actor maintains a friendship with his two kids, allowing them to have real conversations from a place of comfort and trust.
