In the wake of 2021’s International Women’s Day, actress Gabrielle Union’s social media post in honor of the event still echoes among netizens.

The 48-year-old star took to Instagram on Monday to share an eye-popping photo of herself posing alongside three other trailblazing beauties from her family.

In addition to portraying the strength of women, Union’s pic held a special significance as it displayed three generations of women keen on playing their parts in reshaping the world no matter how little.

The shot featured the mother-of-one seated on a tiled pavement and flashing a wide smile as she posed for the camera beside her daughter, Kaavia James.

Union’s mom, Theresa Glass, stood behind her alongside another woman, each smiling as well. Captioning the post, the actress wrote:

“3 Generations of Badass Women. Also known as 3 Scorpios and a Taurus (my mom). #International Women’s day."

All four women looked beautiful and charming in the family photo. However, the 2-year-old in their midst stole the spotlight in her usual facetious manner, capturing hearts with her prized expression.

Fans could not have enough of the toddler, taking to the comment section to dissect the child’s mood, with various hilarious suggestions. One opined Kaavia’s looks suggested she wanted Women’s Day to continue all-year-round.

Those tactics have paid off in the long run.

While these suggestions came off as hilarious and unharmful, the “Daddy’s Little Girls” star has endured her fair share of internet bashing and mom-shaming.

She has, however, stood up for herself and her daughter on occasions, with her husband and NBA legend, Dwyane Wade backing her at every turn.

Following Kaavia’s birth, several netizens trolled the 48-year-old for opting for surrogacy to have her daughter. Many called her out for trying to deceive the world into thinking she birthed the baby herself.

This was after she shared a picture of her clad in a hospital gown while holding on to the newborn. However, she debunked such claims, clapped back at trolls, and set the record straight.

The proud mom has since resolved to embrace her own parenting tactics without paying heed to the opinions of mom-shamers. And those tactics have paid off in the long run.

In September, Union explained her parenting method during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” She revealed she and her husband adopted a more conventional approach.

Rather than go by the one-method-fits-all tactic, Union and Wade approach each kid differently, dependent on their age, gender and personality.

So far, that has worked for the lovebirds, as together, they have raised their brood of five, including Kaavia, Wade’s three children from his previous marriage, and the NBA star’s adopted nephew, into remarkable individuals.
