Oprah Winfrey made some shocking revelations about Meghan Markle's ordeal with the royal family. The media mogul revealed that Markle was advised to reduce herself when she joined the royal family.

The media mogul had an appearance on "CBS This Morning" and revealed that during a chat with Markle, who joined the royal family in 2018, the mother of one told her she had been given an unpleasant piece of advice.

Markle was told that it would be best if she reduced herself by 50 percent. Winfrey said when she heard that, she said to the mother of one that she wondered how she would survive as half of herself.

While many blame Markle for the sudden decision to leave the royal family, her husband, Prince Harry, has solidly stood behind her and praised her for being an asset.

Markle said she found the accusations that their split from the royal family was well-calculated by her to be nonsense. She remarked that she left her career, and family, to be dedicated to the prince and the royal family.

Things have not gone smoothly for Markle since she crossed part with the royal family.

New clips from Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey were released on Monday, and in one of those clips, the Duchess of Sussex spoke to the talk show host about privacy.

Markle claimed that since she began dating Prince Harry, her privacy had been invaded by the press. Markle explained that everyone has a fundamental right to privacy, but theirs seemed to have been overly plagued by invaders.

The expectant mom said that she and Prince Harry never expected complete privacy, but they wanted the power to share aspects of their lives they were comfortable with sharing.

Things have not gone smoothly for Markle since she crossed part with the royal family. The former actress started dating Prince Harry in 2016, and the duo wed in an elaborate ceremony in 2018.

Not too long after, reports of a rift between the royal brothers erupted, and it was claimed that their wives did not see eye to eye on some matters.

Despite the supposed rift between Markle and the royal family, she reportedly put a call to the Queen to check up on her after Prince Phillip was hospitalized because that is what families do.
