Drena De Niro is the oldest daughter of “The Godfather” star Robert De Niro and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott. She paid tribute to her mother on International Women’s Day.

49-year-old actress and filmmaker Drena De Niro is the oldest of 77-year-old actor and director Robert De Niro's six children. Robert adopted Drena, actress and singer Diahnne Abbott's daughter, from a previous relationship.

On March 8, 2021, Drena took to her Instagram account to mark International Women’s Day with a tribute to her mother, Abbott, sharing a snapshot of herself with her beautiful mother.

In the image, Abbott is seen on the left, wearing her reddish dreadlocks down and donning a green top that leaves her tanned shoulders visible. Drena is on the right, and both of them are looking at the camera. Drena captioned the post:

“Happy #InternationalWomensDay from me and this knockout, I call Mom.”

Drena has a very close relationship with her parents, and this is not the first time she has taken a moment on social media to show appreciation for her mother, Abbott.

On May 1, 2020, Abbott’s latest birthday, Drena shared a three-image slideshow of throwback photos of her beloved mother, cherishing the opportunity she had to pay her a visit from a distance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abbott is a singer and an actress, and she is believed to have first met Robert on the set of “Taxi Driver” where she also had a small role.
