James Van Der Beek on Lessons Learned as He Pens Thoughtful Tribute in Honor of 44th Birthday
Recently, on his 44th birthday, James Van Der Beek, most famous for playing Dawson Leery in "Dawson's Creek," reflected on becoming a better husband and father.
A little reflection and a little dance marked James Van Der Beek's 44th birthday. He shared a video of himself as he discussed what is fun for him now that he has turned 44.
"44 today. Creativity used to just be my joy. Then, at some point, it became the means to an end. Now... I've come to recognize joy as the end - and creativity as the key," Van Der Beek wrote.

As a result of the actor using his creativity, he has become a more productive and vibrant individual, contributing to him becoming a better father and husband to his wife, Kimberly.
A life built on an adventure has always been a characteristic of Van Der Beek, whether he was taking his abilities to "Dancing with the Stars" or moving his family to Texas.
Several months ago, the proud father of five beautiful children had announced that he and his family would become a part of the Lone Star state for a new adventure.
In an Instagram post in 2018, the actor admitted that it is challenging to raise five children.

Last month, in Texas, Van Deer Beek, who made his professional debut off-Broadway at age 16 in 1993, and many other people were without running water because of severe winter storms.
Van Deer Beek and Kimberly, who married in 2010, welcomed their first daughter Olivia in the same year. Joshua, Annabel Leah, Emilia, and Gwendolyn then joined the family.
The loved-up couple has always been very open about their family life. Their previous multiple experiences with miscarriage have been vulnerably discussed.
Back in June, Van Deer Beek and Kimberly told the world that they suffered their fifth miscarriage at 17 weeks. In an Instagram post in 2018, the actor admitted that it is challenging to raise five children.
Although that's true, the doting father still manages to make each of his children feel special. According to Van Deer Beek, he carves out a special time for each of them.
It is evident from the actor's Instagram feed that he enjoys sharing family moments. His feed is peppered with sweet family shots and amusing captions. He also encourages and uplifts fellow fathers.
