DWTS Pro Gleb Savchenko Asks for Spousal Support & Custody of His Daughter Zlata Amid Divorce

"Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer Gleb Savchenko has responded to his estranged wife Elena Samodanova's divorce petition with his own requests.

"Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer Gleb Savchencko and his estranged wife Elena Samodanova's divorce settlement has taken another twist.

Us Weekly obtained three court documents showing details of Savchenko's request to the court in response to Samodanova's divorce petition.

Savchenko requested joint legal and physical custody of he and Samodanova's daughters, ten-year-old Olivia and three-year-old Zlata.

He also asked that the 36-year-old Samodanova provide him with spousal support and pay for his attorney's fees. The 37-year-old also sought to terminate the court's ability to provide his estranged wife with financial assistance.

One of the legal documents states that Savchenko and Samodanova's assets and debts would be determined. The estranged couple is to appear in court on March 30 and June 2.

It will be recalled that Samodanova requested joint legal and physical custody of her and Savchenko's daughters in the divorce petition she filed on December 22, 2020.

The latter part of that statement referred to Vlad Kvartin, a DWTS alum, who was pictured kissing Samodanova.

In her petition, she sought spousal support from Savchenko and terminated the court's ability to award him support.

Following her petition, Savchenko's representative spoke to People and revealed that his client had been just as involved in launching the studio he shares with Samodanova and raising their daughters as she has.

The representative further said that Sachenko would not be intimidated by Samodanova's threats and feels betrayed by Vlad, a friend and employee.

The latter part of that statement referred to Vlad Kvartin, a DWTS alum, who was pictured kissing Samodanova.

The representative concluded by saying Savchenko prefers to keep everything as amicable as possible under the circumstances for their daughter's sake.

Samodanova's file for divorce came 14 years after her marriage with Savchenko and amid speculations that the latter was romantically involved with "Selling Sunset" star Chrishell Stause.

A day after Samodanova filed for divorce, Savchenko denied cheating on her and accused her of trying to set him up with her cheating allegations.

Following his recent request to the court, observers would be watching to see how things go in the estranged couple's raging divorce proceedings.
