LeBron James' adorable mother, Gloria James, recently gushed about her son on her Instagram page with a cute throwback snap. Take a look at her son's photo.

Gloria James, LeBron James' mother, has witnessed the NBA star's love for basketball since day one. The doting mom recently gave her son an assuring message.

Gloria, 53, recently walked down memory lane on Instagram. She shared an old photo of herself sitting on the courtside and supporting her only child.

Gloria looked youthful wearing a shirt which she topped with a green and white jersey. She held a black-and-white piece of paper with a smiling picture of LeBron on it.

The throwback picture showed Gloria smiling behind the paper while looking away from the camera. The single mother proudly captioned her post:

"No matter what, I'll always be your number one fan!"

Several commenters expressed that Gloria's heartfelt post for LeBron deeply touched them. More admirers filled her post with heart-eyed emojis. Some supporters also posted "goat" images as a reference to LeBron's excellent skills in basketball.

Gloria overcame a lot of obstacles in raising LeBron who is considered one of the greatest NBA players of all time.  His father, Anthony McClelland, who has a criminal record, was never involved in LeBron's life.

After he won his fourth NBA championship in October last year, LeBron called Gloria to update her. The 36-year-old basketball player reflected on how she inspired him to win the game.

Through the years, the mother-son duo's relationship stayed strong.

LeBron also noted that his mother's efforts in raising him alone did not go to waste. The four-time most valuable player had witnessed Gloria's hardships when he was a child.

The three-time NBA champion shared that Gloria was 16 when she gave birth to him. With McMcCelland's absence, Gloria's late mother, Freda James, helped her through the difficult times.

Although Gloria sent her son away to live with another family as a child because of poverty, LeBron never felt hate growing up. Through the years, the mother-son duo's relationship stayed strong.

Besides the Boston Red Sox part-owner, Gloria has been close to LeBron's children and his wife Savannah Brinson. She also helped Brinson in raising her three children, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri.
