Pregnant Woman Pens a Touching Tribute to Her Dad after He Was Killed in the Colorado Shooting

A pregnant daughter whose father was killed in the recent Colorado shooting has taken to social media to share a touching tribute to the older man whom she described as her hero. This comes only a few days after the unfortunate incident.

Erika Mahoney, an expectant mother, is honoring her dad, Kevin Mahoney, 61, who was killed on Monday in the Boulder shooting that claimed the lives of 10 others.

Taking to Twitter, she shared an adorable photo of herself clad in a wedding dress and Kevin wearing a tuxedo as they walked down the aisle on her wedding day.

"I am heartbroken to announce that my Dad, my hero, Kevin Mahoney, was killed in the King Soopers shooting in my hometown of Boulder, CO."

She continued her tribute by writing that to her, Kevin represented all things about love. Erika also added that she was grateful he walked her down the aisle at her wedding last summer.

The heartbroken daughter announced her pregnancy, adding that her late father would want her to remain strong enough for his granddaughter.

Erika also thanked the Boulder Police Department for their efforts since the incident and concluded by affirming that Kevin would always be with her and she would love him forever.

In addition to Kevin, all other shooting victims have been identified, ranging from the age of 20 to 65. The suspect, 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, has reportedly been taken into custody by officers and is expected to be charged with ten counts of murder.

While Erika and others continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones, there is no doubt that the culprit will be brought to books, and justice will be served!
