Inside Kim Kardashian's 2 Marriages before Kanye West — Who Are Kris Humphries and Damon Thomas?
Kim Kardashian is currently divorcing her rapper husband, Kanye West, just as she divorced her first two husbands, Damon Thomas and Kris Humphries.
Kim Kardashian´s private life has become a public obsession. The reality star is currently divorcing her third husband, rapper Kanye West, with whom she shares four children after six years of marriage.
This is by far Kardashian's longest marriage, with her first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas ending after three years and her second to NBA player Kris Humphries lasting an incredible 72 days.

DAMON THOMAS'S CHILD-BRIDE
In 2000, Kim Kardashian was far from being the poised, sophisticated, polished socialite that she is today. Kardashian was just 19 when she eloped with Damon Thomas, 11 years her senior.
Years later, Kardashian would claim she was under the influence of ecstasy when she married the music producer, a step she would bitterly regret. The reality star described Thomas as controlling and claimed it was he who demanded she undergo plastic surgery.
The Kardashian-Humphries wedding, which allegedly cost $6 million, welcomed over 450 guests, among them the who's who of celebrity creme-de-la-creme.
PERFECT
Kardashian revealed that Thomas had paid for several cosmetic procedures so that she would be "perfect" in his eyes, including liposuction. The reality star also accused Thomas of physically abusing her. Thomas lashed back:
“Kim is obsessed with fame. She can’t write or sing or dance, so she does harmful things in order to validate herself in the media.”
CHEATER
Thomas denied Kardashian's accusations that he had isolated her from her family and made her quit her job. He also revealed that the reality star had conned him into paying for her transformation through plastic surgery.
Thomas further pointed out that he had been the one who had filed for a divorce and claimed that Kardashian had cheated on him with several men. After their 2004 divorce, the two exes are not known to have had further contact.

THE 72-DAY MARRIAGE
In 2010, Kardashian started dating NBA star Kris Humphries, and seven months later, the couple was engaged. On August 20, 2011, Kardashian and Humphries married in what must be one of the most lavish ceremonies ever.
The Kardashian-Humphries wedding, which allegedly cost $6 million, welcomed over 450 guests, among them the who's who of celebrity creme-de-la-creme: Serena Williams, Larsa and Scottie Pippen, Ryan Seacrest, Demi Lovato, and Julianne Hough.
DREAM WEDDING
While Kardashian's wedding to Thomas had been low-key and secretive, the Humphries wedding was public, lavish, and extravagant, a wedding fit for a movie star or princess. Kardashian reinforced the fairy tale theme in a delicate Vera Wang wedding dress. Kardashian stated:
“It was like we were in heaven. I’m going to remember how perfect it was.”

But the idyll, which was shared with the world through E!, was short-lived. An incredible 72 days later, Kardashian blindsided Humphries by filing for a divorce. Rumors hinted that Kardashian had engineered the wedding for ratings, but the NBA player said:
“I would never go through something and do something that wasn’t real or I didn’t believe in, so I can really only speak for myself in terms of that.”
While Humphries described the divorce process as devastatingly public and brutal, Kardashian moved on to a romance with rapper Kanye West -- a new marriage -- and welcomed four children with him.
The marriage deteriorated under the pressure of West's admitted mental health issues, for which he refused to accept medication. In February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce, and the next installment of the Kim Kardashian saga is ready to roll.
