The first photo showed Tanaka, 37, and Carey warming up to each other in a romantic selfie. The pair rocked all-black looks, keeping their glam radiant with bright smiles.
The next slide could have come right out of a Valentine's Day photoshoot as the music icon and her man channeled all-red looks. Here Carey sported a form-fitting dress while he donned a red sweatshirt. Their little dogs were also featured in the photo. Tanaka captioned:
"Today is my favorite day! Happy Anniversary, my love! [heart emoji] [butterfly emoji]"
Other stars like Jennifer Hudson and "Stranger Things" actress Milly Bobby Brown also celebrated Carey. Music executive Jermaine Dupri shared throwback images praising Carey's beginnings.
Since 2016, the 37-year-old and Carey have been an item. This came on the heels of her break up with Australian business mogul James Packer. She went official with Tanaka in her E series, "Mariah's World."
Carey and Cannon were together for six years and had two kids.
Carey and the star dancer have known each other since 2006 when he was one of her backup dancers. She first noticed him when he danced for Beyoncé on stage.
The pair then went on to work together. When they started dating, Carey promoted Tanaka to the position of creative director. The dancer, who is from Washington, once shared that Carey saw something special in him.
Mariah Carey's dating and romance history go as far back as the early '90s when she and Tommy Motorola became an item. Although they had a 21-year age difference between them, the pair went on to tie the knot in 1993.
The marriage ended in 1998, and she went on to date former baseball champ Derek Jeter. She dedicated her songs, "My All" and "The Roof," to him. The star was also involved with Eminem, but it seems things ended badly.
Her second marriage came in 2008 when she married multi-hyphenate star, Nick Cannon. Carey and Cannon were together for six years and had two kids.
