Macaulay Culkin Is a Father for the First Time as He Welcomes a Son With Partner Brenda Song

Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are "Home Alone" no more, as they became first-time parents earlier this month to a son who got his moniker from someone special.

A little over a year after Disney Channel's Brenda Song and actor Macaulay Culkin shared their hopes of having a child, they welcomed their son, Dakota, to the world on April 5, 2021.

His full name is Dakota Song Culkin, chosen by the couple in honor and memory of Culkin's late sister, Dakota, who passed away in 2008 after she was accidentally hit by a car.

Esquire was the first to share the news of Dakota's birth. The outlet reported that the new mom is healthy and doing well. The only statement the couple shared was that they are overjoyed.

The couple first met on the set of "Changeland" in Thailand. They were then spotted holding hands while on a double date at Knotts Berry Farm. The couple has kept their relationship private except on a few rare occasions.

In Esquire's cover story in February 2020, Culkin shared that the couple had officially started trying to have a baby.

In 2018, during an interview, Song gushed over their relationship and remarked that she was very happy. Later in a 2019 podcast with Joe Rogan, Culkin admitted that he wanted to have children with Song.

He told the podcast host on "The Joe Rogan Experience" that Song was a "good one" and wanted to have children with her. He also remarked that they would have beautiful children together.

The couple has been living together for a while. The former child stars have a few pets, including a dog, a cat, and a parrot. Of course, their attention will be shifted to their new baby now.
