Kanye West Asks For Joint Custody of His Four Children with Kim Kardashian Amid Their Divorce
New details on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's divorce have emerged after it was revealed that the rapper is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their four children.
It's been months since it was first reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West split up after almost seven years of marriage. Now, things are finally moving in court as the rapper has submitted documents from his camp to comply with the process.
KimYe is headed to court, and a legal response filed by the "Father Stretch My Hands" rapper reveals he requested joint custody of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The billionaire also asked the court not to award spousal support to either of them, given that they are both financially capable of living without it.
In the same way that West is worth $6.6 billion thanks to his apparel and shoe brand called Yeezy, Kardashian has also made it to the billionaire list thanks to her long list of endorsement deals, salary from reality television, and most especially, her successful business ventures SKIMS and KKW Beauty.
Kardashian was the one who filed for divorce back in February, after months of trying to make amends with her estranged husband. Things are going smoothly in their divorce, especially since none of them are contesting the prenup they put in place, and they are both nearing a settlement.
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star had quite a stormy year with her husband before their divorce, as they constantly tried to reconnect after being on the brink of separation last summer. After her efforts to patch things up with West were unsuccessful, the beauty mogul finally filed for divorce.
Kris Jenner recently shared that all she wants is for the children to be happy.
All four of their children currently live with Kardashian in their $60 million Hidden Hills mansion, while the rapper has balanced his time between staying in LA to visit his children and working at his ranch in Wyoming. Currently, Kardashian has no plans of relocating elsewhere and is happy with the home they are in right now.
While the couple couldn't come to terms with many things, they united in the idea that their children should not experience any stress from their separation. Ultimately, they do not want the proceedings to get messy and would like to get it done as peacefully as possible.

The same sentiments were echoed by Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, who recently shared that all she wants is for the children to be happy. She added that the Kardashian-Jenner clan is full of love and support for one another, so the happiness of both Kim and West was what mattered most, along with that of their children.
It's only a matter of time before Kardashian and West head to court, and it's bound to be another rollercoaster ride for all those who tune into their lives. For now, Kardashian has been spending most of her time with their children, while West has kept it lowkey in the past couple of months.
