Actress Gabby Sidibe showed her fans yet another glimpse of her body when she shared a mirror selfie flaunting her slimmed-down belly while clad in a crop top and leggings.
On Wednesday, "Empire" star Gabby Sidibe shared yet another snap of herself with her fans on Instagram, who are used to her sharing such pictures of herself with them.
In the snap, which was a mirror selfie, Sidibe posed leaning on a door. She was clad in an olive green camo-print crop top with the letter "G" inscribed on it.
The crop top revealed the actress's slimmed-down stomach, which she was all too happy to flaunt. She matched her top with black leggings and red-and-white footwear.
She also rocked long and flowing black hair. She shared a second picture showing her top and a backpack spread out on a bed. In the post's caption, she wrote:
"Got some super cute stuff from @steuben.vintage.closet and @derrelljermainedupree."
Sidibe's fans gushed over her look in the picture and hailed her in the post's comment section. One fan said she looked amazing, adding that they were as confident to show off their belly as she did.
The beautiful actress has never shied away from sharing her experiences during her weight loss journey and how she became confident in her body.
Sidibe revealed she went on a long journey to body positivity, saying she was conditioned to believe she was ugly.
In 2017, she revealed she underwent weight-loss surgery, which involved cutting her stomach in half. She made these revelations in her memoir "This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare."
After being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, Sidibe underwent laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Her stomach was cut in half to limit her hunger and capacity to eat. Her brain chemistry also changed, making her want to eat healthier.
In a 2017 chat with People, Sidibe revealed she went on a long journey to body positivity, saying she was conditioned to believe she was ugly. However, the actress said that after her surgery, she now loves her body, something she wished she did sooner.
Sidibe also told NPR in another interview that she does not concern herself with people's thoughts on her body because it is hers and she will police it.
Besides being proud of her body, the 37-year-old actress is also proud of her skin, saying it is "pretty lit" to be a Black woman at the moment. She added that it is important for people like her to get behind the camera and win big.
Sidibe is not only winning in her career and body positivity. She is also winning in her love life and announced her engagement to boyfriend Brandon Frankel last November. One can say she is living her best life right now.
