Jasmin Lawrence recently shared on her Instagram feed a sweet tribute for her famous father, actor Martin Lawrence, who turned 56 last April 16.
The seasoned Hollywood actor is his daughter's idol in the entertainment industry. It was her famous father who influenced her to pursue an acting career in Tinseltown.
The 26-year-old rising star's unconditional love for the former boxing pro was evident in her Instagram Story. Jasmin, who shares a striking resemblance with Martin, captioned her post:
"Hope you had the best day!"
Alongside the sweet note was a photo showing the veteran comedian looking dapper in a stylish jacket while blowing candles on his birthday cake. Jasmin ended her note with a heart emoji.
Martin shares Jasmin with his ex-wife Patricia Southall. The young entertainer also has two siblings, Iyanna, 20, and Amara, 18, who are Martin's children with his other ex-wife, Shamicka Gibbs.
In a separate Instagram post, Martin expressed his heartfelt gratitude for his loving family and friends who showered him with their affection on his special occasion.
Many fans took to the comment section to send him birthday wishes along with their praises and kind messages. One fan remarked that the "Big Momma's House" star is his favorite comedian of all time.
Martin has achieved tremendous success in the entertainment industry. The German-born actor rose to prominence in 1992 for hosting the "Def Comedy Jam" on HBO Network.
He later transitioned from hosting a comedy show to acting in several movies. Cementing his place in Hollywood was his performance in the 1995 movie "Bad Boys," considered one of the best films in the last three decades.
But Martin learned from his past mistakes and moved on.

Martin recently celebrated the movie's 25th anniversary by sharing a throwback picture of himself together with his fellow co-star Will Smith.
Amid his success following the film's release, Martin dealt with personal struggles. In 1996, he was reportedly involved in a series of crimes, including drug use and sexual harassment.
But Martin learned from his past mistakes and moved on. Additionally, his father and brother's deaths and his previous health scare paved the way for him to make better choices in life.
The actor has shown he has changed as he bounced back to making more movies. One of his latest films was "Bad Boys for Life," which was released last year.
