May 1 was an emotional day for Vanessa Bryant as she commemorated her late daughter, Gianna "Gigi" Bryant's 15th birthday. Gianna was Vanessa and the late NBA player Kobe Bryant's second daughter.

In a series of birthday tributes on Instagram, Vanessa proclaimed her love for Gianna while revealing a new clothing collection she designed to celebrate and honor her daughter's life and legacy as the "Mambacita."

Vanessa first announced the clothing line on Instagram on Friday, April 30, where she revealed that the capsule collection, in partnership with DanniJo, would be made available the next day in honor of Gianna's 15th birthday.

In the post, the 38-year-old was pictured rocking a matching white and purple tie-dye hooded sweater and sweatpants with pink sneakers. Vanessa looked fierce as she sat on the floor with one hand lifting the sweater to reveal the details of the design.

The clothing line was designed to honor aspects of Gianna's basketball legacy, with her jersey number "2" printed inside a heart on one side of the sweatpants. Her moniker, "Mambacita," is also printed in large lettering across the sweater.

Kobe's partnership with [Nike] began in 2003 but the contract expired on April 13, 2021, and was not renewed.

Vanessa's eldest daughter, Natalia, was also featured in the promotional posts. In one photo, the 18-year-old posed alongside her mother in matching black and white tie-dye sets paired with red and black Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star” sneakers.

Vanessa's posts revealed that the limited clothing collection was created for a good cause with all proceeds benefiting The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, started to further Kobe and Gianna's legacies through sports charity.

Like Kobe, Gianna was passionate about basketball and wanted to change the way female athletes were viewed in sports. Through this fundraising project, Vanessa aims to carry on her daughter's legacy.

Vanessa is just as determined to keep Gianna's spirit alive as she is with Kobe. She recently made it known that her intentions were unwavering as she oversaw the end of the late NBA star's contract with Nike.

Kobe's partnership with the major sports brand began in 2003, but the contract expired on April 13, 2021, and was not renewed. However, Vanessa revealed that she would keep fighting to allow Kobe's fans to wear his merchandise.
