Watch the Touching Performance of Jennifer Lopez and Her Mom Lupe Onstage at the Vax Live Concert
Jennifer Lopez delighted viewers of the Vax Live concert after taking her mom Lupe to sing and dance with her. The mother-and-daughter duo delivered a heartwarming rendition of "Sweet Caroline."
Lopez rocked a sparkling rose gold jumpsuit designed by Zuhair Murad when she performed at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, over the weekend. She spoke to those watching about the importance of getting everyone access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the 51-year-old singer, the reason why people gathered at the Vax Live concert was to raise awareness on the importance of getting lower-income countries vaccine doses.

Providing them equal access to the vaccine means the world reaching herd immunity faster, which would give everyone a sense of normalcy. She said:
"While it's getting better for us [in the US], there are people all over the world, especially in Africa, India, and the Latin world, who still need our help and our vaccines."
Lopez then shared a personal COVID-19 pandemic story, saying she wasn't able to spend Christmas with her mom, Guadalupe Rodriguez, last year. She revealed that it was the first time in her entire life that she couldn't spend the holiday with her mother.
Coming from that thought, she introduced her mom to the audience and said they'd be singing a song that her mom used to sing to her when she was a baby. "Sweet Caroline" then started playing, and she asked her mom Lupe to sing it to her the same way she'd sing it when Lopez was still a baby.
After their touching performance, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer retook the stage to perform the 2016 hit single before doing a dance break to Saweetie's "Pretty [Expletive] Freestyle."
The benefit concert featured numerous artists and actors such as Ben Affleck, who took the stage with Jimmy Kimmel after Lopez's first performance. Eyewitnesses revealed that the two celebrities watched the Latina singer's performance from backstage.
Affleck was engaged to Lopez in 2002 before separating in 2004. Recently, the pair has been spotted spending time with one another following her split from Alex Rodriguez. He was seen visiting Lopez numerous times by getting dropped off at her home.
Although people might see this as a sign that they are rekindling their romance, Lopez and Affleck have actually remained friends despite their split and are focused on being just that. In fact, the "Jenny From the Block" singer is quite close to a couple of her exes, including Marc Anthony, who is the father of her two children.
The Vax Live concert was a star-studded event, even featuring Prince Harry, who gave a powerful speech about the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19. He and his wife Meghan Markle were named campaign chairs for the live show that also had performances from Selena Gomez, the Foo Fighters, and H.E.R.
The show, which aimed to increase public confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine, also had appearances from President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris. Scheduled for public viewing on May 8, the event had vaccinated frontline and essential workers in its live audience.
