Prince William and Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis might be one of the most followed families in the world, and with that comes well-followed social media platforms.

The Cambridges' Instagram page has kept their fans up to date with their family news, their royal engagements, and much more. William and Middleton made a big change on their Instagram page this week.

William and Kate have changed their Instagram name. The account's original name @KensingtonRoyal has been changed to @dukeandduchessofcambridge.

Fans online have called the move a good market strategy. One royal watcher shared on Twitter that they loved the couples slow rebranding of their accounts as they wrote:

Besides updating their Instagram and Twitter handle, the Duke and Duchess announced they had started a YouTube channel, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge."

So far, the royal couple has shared a "Welcome to our Offical Youtube Channel" video on the page, which they shared to Instagram to announced their new social media step.

Their YouTube channel has gained a lot of attention as their first video has over one million views.

The Royal Family Youtube channel has posted videos of the couple's public engagements, including conversations with frontline workers and schoolteachers. Assumably they will now post that content on their own page.

The announcement of their YouTube channel included a compilation of clips of the couple over the last few years, as well as a clip where William warned Kate she was now being filmed. The Cambridges captioned the video:

"Better late than never - we're now on @YouTube ? Link in bio."

Last year the couple's social media team made another big change to their Instagram account as the page started posting reels and fun videos about their engagements on the platform.

Fans online seem to be excited about William and Middleton's newest social media venture as they hope they will get more glimpses into their public life and family life.

So far, their YouTube channel has gained a lot of attention as their first video has over one million views, and they have reached over 200 000 subscribers within 24 hours of their announcement.

Fans will have to wait patiently for more content from the royal couple. Hopefully, their three children and other royal family members will make appearances on the Cambridge YouTube channel.
