Story of the Day: Bride's Gown Is 53 Feet Long, So She Arrives to the Wedding by Truck
This story is about a beautiful bride who got to her wedding venue through a 53-foot truck and motorbike escorts.
Every bride dreams of having the best and most beautiful gown on their wedding day, no matter how hard it is to put on or walk in. However, Missouri local Tatiana had a spectacular dress made like no other.
The 25-year-old had always dreamed of having the biggest embellished gown in gypsy wedding history. Tatiana appeared on the TLC series “Gypsy Wedding US” and had everyone shocked at how puffy and long her wedding dress was.

She knew that having the gown made wasn’t impossible, but getting to the venue with it would be a struggle. According to the bride, her dressmaker, Sandra, was in charge of the logistics that day.
The massive wedding gown was made of more than 200ft of organza silk and was transported to the hotel, where Tatiana changed in large boxes. It included a dazzling bodice and a separate ball gown-like skirt.

Several women had to help the bride get into the dress by the hallway as getting across a door with the tubes on was impossible. “It’s pretty heavy,” Tatiana admitted. “It hurts.”
However, despite the wedding difficulties due to the big dress, Tatiana claimed she would go through the entire process over 500 times as it represented her love for her groom, Zuki.

Tatiana stepped outside and waited for the surprise vehicle that would take her to the venue. As she excitedly looked left and right, she began to hear the sirens of motorbikes that would escort her to the wedding.
The fabric selection is crucial as it dictates the overall feel of the wear, as well as showcasing the level of sophistication.

What shocked Tatiana the most was the 53-foot flatbed truck that would take her to Zuki. Sandra made it for the theme by decorating the platform with white ribbons and pumpkins. Tatiana shared:
“Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted the biggest, blingiest bad-ass dress ever. I am just so excited to finally have my dream come true.”

Although excited to get on top of the truck, Tatiana struggled to step up the short ladder with her sparkling stilettos. Instead, she had to remove her shoes and get help from everyone else.
When she finally got in place and drove off, many bystanders watched as the happy bride exclaimed, “It’s my wedding day!” Several onlookers even clapped and cheered for Tatiana as her truck drove by.

Finally, Tatiana got to the destination and was greeted by family and friends. As part of their tradition, Zuki did not look at his bride until she got to the altar. However, he was aware of the commotion happening and could not wait to see his beautiful bride. He said:
“When I turned around and saw the dress, she was absolutely beautiful. She looked like an angel.”

One can never go wrong with a gown exhibiting classical artistry for their very special day. While timeless pieces are always appreciated, modern designers have decided to venture into uncharted waters, making way for unconventional creations for the bride.

This approach has been adopted by Danielle Frankel Delphine in designing a strapless gown, finished off with a matching belt and drop-down lace. Perfect for city weddings, the fit showcases a tight hug on the torso, with lace draped as the bride walks.
Another unique design comes from the studio of Maggie Sottero, with the main detail focused on the shape of a mermaid, topped off with several sparkling Swarovski crystals.

Curating one’s wedding dress can be one of the most complex aspects during the planning stages, with multiple factors that must be addressed. For one, the fabric selection is crucial as it dictates the overall feel of the wear, as well as showcasing the level of sophistication.
On the other hand, embellishments go hand-in-hand with the fabric as it further contributes to the dress’ overall character. It is most common to involve beads, lace, as well as other forms of decorations.
