Page Six: Meghan Markle's Baby News during Princess Eugenie's Wedding Has Not Been Forgotten by Her Sister Beatrice
Princess Beatrice's baby news this week proved that she has not forgotten that Meghan Markle announced her pregnancy on Prince Eugenie's wedding day.
Princess Beatrice has not forgotten that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their pregnancy on her sister, Princess Eugenie's wedding day in October 2018.
Princess Beatrice announced she is expecting her first child with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also celebrated their third wedding anniversary this Wednesday.

Royal insiders wondered if it was her way to get back at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who shared they were expecting their first child on Princess Eugenie's wedding day in 2018.
Robert Jobson, the author of “Prince Philip’s Century," said to Page Six that although the timing could be a coincidence, he does not think so. He explained further:
"It seems that after Harry and Meghan stole the headlines and world attention... from Princess Beatrice’s wedding, that [Beatrice] didn’t forget."
Another royal insider said that although all the cousins get along well, Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are currently living in Prince Harry's Frogmore cottage, Beatrice must know what the timing looks like.
However, another insider shared that Princess Beatrice had already delayed her pregnancy announcement as she waited a while after Prince Philip's funeral, which occurred on April 17, 2021.
Out of all of the royal cousins, Harry and Eugenie have the most natural connection.
Although Princess Beatrice's real intentions will never be known, users on social media are praising her for the seemingly perfect timing of her pregnancy announcement.
One user wrote that although they did not think it was cool to care about the royals, she had respect for Beatrice for getting revenge on the Sussexes previous pregnancy announcement. Part of the tweet read:
"...announcing her pregnancy on Harry & Meghan’s 3rd anniversary as revenge... is the kind of messy [explicit] I have no choice but to respect."
Prince Harry is close to his first cousins, Princess Eugenie and Prince Beatrice, whose parents are Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. In fact, Eugenie and Harry have been known to be very close.
Out of all of the royal cousins, Harry and Eugenie have the most natural connection. Markle, Harry, Eugenie, and Brooksbank even went on double dates before they tied the knot with their respective partners.
It is no wonder that Eugenie and her mother were upset by Markle's pregnancy announcement timing. The pair announced they were expecting while on tour in Sydney, on the same day Eugenie shared a first look at her wedding outfit.
Beatrice is expecting her first child in autumn, while Markle, who is pregnant with her second child, is expecting her baby girl in summer. The two new royal babies will mean the Queen will have 12 great-grandchildren.
