Facts about Seth Green's Wife and Marriage — He Once Said That He Has No Plans to Have Kids

Actor and filmmaker Seth Green has been married to Clare Grant for over a decade. He once joked people don’t believe they’re actually a couple.

Unlike most love stories in Hollywood, Seth Green and his wife didn’t meet on the set of a film or TV show. In 2007, Green was present at the Golden Apple Comics' reopening, his favorite comic book store.

Coincidentally, it was also Clare Grant’s favorite comic book store, so while Green was signing autographs, Grant was taking photos of the event. Nothing much happened that night, though.

They met again at a Comic-Con, and they had so many things in common that they kept running into each other throughout the week-long event.

Eventually, a mutual friend gave Green Grant’s phone number, and they arranged a “play date.” They went to In-N-Out and ordered the same thing in the same way.

If that wasn’t enough, once they went to Green’s home, Grant saw that his DVR had the same shows she had in her DVR. At that moment, they realized “this could be a beautiful friendship.”

After spending a lot of time together on the two-week Robot Chicken Skate Party Bus Tour in 2009, they knew they would be a perfect couple.

Seth Green spent months working on the engagement ring for Grant with a jeweler, he popped the question (although Grant had no idea about it), and they tied the knot less than four months later, on May 1, 2010.

Clare Grant, an actress known for “Seek,” “Changeland,” and “Robot Chicken,” wore an Oscar de la Renta dress for her wedding, while the actor chose a Dennis Kim suit.

Green once confessed he had no plans to have children but still could feel a lot of pressure about it. He explained people are used to “certain cultural cycles,” so they’ve been asked when the kids were coming ever since exchanging “I Dos.”

Fortunately, the couple has proved that love can stand the test of time even in Hollywood and with no children as they have been together for 11 years.

They have such a great relationship that they’ve worked together on different projects. In “Changeland,” Green directed his wife, and her character had a love interest that was not Green.

The filmmaker admitted it couldn’t be him because “nobody buys us as a couple,” and he needed the relationship to look authentic.

In 2018, Isaac Kappy and Seth Green made headlines after the former accused the actor of pedophilia. Kappy, who used to be friends with Green and Grant, was investigated by the LAPD for alleged harassment and stalking of the couple.

He also reportedly choked Paris Jackson during a game night party and shared a threatening tweet that led the police to open the case against him. It is unclear if the case was settled.
