Sharon Osbourne Posts TBT Pic with Ozzy Osbourne to Mark Their 39th Wedding Anniversary
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary and proved that love could stand the test of time even in the entertainment industry. Their relationship has been far from perfect.
On July 4, 2021, TV personality Sharon Osbourne commemorated her and Ozzy Osbourne’s 39th anniversary by sharing two beautiful photos on Instagram.
Both images were taken during their wedding ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. The first pic showed Sharon wearing her stunning white dress and holding a bouquet of flowers.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Sharon, rocking a short hairdo and flashing her beautiful smile, was standing next to her husband, who also put on a white suit that perfectly matched his wife's ensemble.
For the second image, Sharon was staring at her husband’s face evidently in love. In the caption, Sharon thanked Ozzy for their 39 years together and the “most incredible life” filled with “crazy, wonderful, and insane times.” She added:
“Yes, pain and sorrow too, but we got through it. We worked so hard for years professionally and personally. We succeed together. You are my soul, my life.”
ROCKY RELATIONSHIP
Sharon herself acknowledges that while love has prevailed, she and Ozzy have gone through a lot. They met in 1970 when Sharon’s dad, Don Arden, managed Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath.
Due to drug and alcohol abuse, Arden kicked Ozzy out of the band in 1979. Since then, Sharon has been Ozzy’s manager, and they began dating shortly after.
On July 4, 1982, Sharon and Ozzy tied the knot and started having children right away. In September 1983, Aimee was born. Kelly, also a TV personality, joined the family in October 1984. Finally, Jack was born in November 1985.
Most people believed that the couple would part ways in 1989 after Ozzy was arrested for trying to kill Sharon. She explained he was so high on drugs that she couldn’t get through him.
At some point, he calmly told her, “We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die” and started to choke her. Fortunately, she escaped, and he spent six months in medical detention. She didn’t ask for a divorce, though.
According to Ozzy, he woke up in a cell after being arrested and had no idea of what had happened. When officers told Ozzy that he tried to kill his wife, he “went numb.”
In May 2016, [Ozzy] and Sharon parted ways for the first time (at least publicly) in 33 years of marriage.
DEALING WITH COLON CANCER
The Osbournes kept their relationship away from the spotlights for a decade, but in 2002, Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer. During such a challenging time, Ozzy proved just how much he loves his wife.
According to Sharon, her husband slept in a chair next to her bed for 18 months, too scared to close his eyes because he thought she might be dead when he opened them.
He would also carry her to the bathroom, shower her, and take her back to bed if necessary. Sharon pointed out that Ozzy was never disgusted to do any of that because he “loves [her] unconditionally.” Fortunately, Sharon got better.
Things for the Osbournes complicated again in 2013 after Ozzy revealed he relapsed. In May 2016, he and Sharon parted ways for the first time (at least publicly) in 33 years of marriage.
Only two months later, Sharon and Ozzy found their way back to each other, but he eventually admitted he had been dealing with sex addiction for six years and was unfaithful to his wife.
While it was probably difficult, Sharon forgave him and stayed by his side. Ozzy and Sharon renewed their wedding vows in May 2017 and have been together ever since.
LEAVING “THE TALK”
Sharon made headlines again in March 2021 after leaving “The Talk.” She was accused of misconduct and using offensive language during a heated argument about race in the March 10 episode.
It is important to remark that Sharon was the last remaining original host on “The Talk,” which premiered in 2010 with Leah Remini, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Holly Robinson as panelists.
As expected, Sharon’s exit significantly affected the show’s rating. Before her departure, a little more than 1.5 million people watched the episodes per day. When she left, the show averaged just above 1.3 million viewers – a 14% drop.
So far, it is unclear if Sharon will ever host another TV show. One thing is clear, though: Ozzy will always be by her side. What a beautiful couple!
