NCT's Lucas Apologizes for 'Irresponsible Behavior' towards Ex – SM Halts Release of Upcoming Song

Lucas, the K-Pop star from NCT, recently publically apologized for his "irresponsible" and hurtful behavior during his previous relationships, which led women to accuse him of being a gold digger.

It has been reported that two women from China and South Korea, whose identities are yet to be revealed, shared similar stories about how Lucas took advantage of them emotionally and financially.

The Korean netizen, who approached Lucas after being a longtime fan, claimed that Lucas gaslit her and told her that he didn't like that she acted too much like a fan and to drop the act.

USING WOMEN

The star used the same argument when he was breaking up with her due to his busy schedule. According to her, she would buy him expensive gifts, which he initially appreciated, but then he got more demanding.

She explained that he later started rejecting her gifts because he was "making enough money and didn't need gifts unless it was a house or a car." She added:

"He always came to the hotel room, ordered room service, slept, and left. From the moment we checked out, he would go off the radar and keep his distance, saying he felt uncomfortable."

The woman said that Lucas never expressed his gratitude and took her for granted. In order to prove her claims, she provided photographic evidence of the alleged chats between her and the singer.

The star claimed that he has been reflecting on his actions.

HALTING ACTIVITIES

Shortly after, SM Entertainment announced that Lucas would seize all activities and that he is "deeply reflecting on having caused great pain and disappointment due to his wrong behavior."

The agency also apologized because they felt that they played a part in Lucas's hurtful actions, describing it as poor management of the artist. Later on, Lucas himself released a statement on social media.

ASHAMED

In a hand-written note shared on Instagram, the star apologized for his behavior, claiming that he has been reflecting on his actions from the past. He said:

"Looking back on my behavior of the past, it was clearly wrong, and it was an irresponsible behavior that betrayed the support that my fans have shown me for a long time."

The K-Pop artist ended the statement by apologizing to his company staff, corporative firms, and broadcasting personnel, guaranteeing that something like this will never happen again.
