Page Six: Rapper Kanye West References Cheating on Kim Kardashian While Married in ‘Donda’ Song ‘Hurricane'

Kanye West’s new “Donda” album has been the talk of the town off-late, and one of the things mentioned in his song’s lyrics is his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West, 44, recently released his latest album, “Donda.” One of the songs featured on the tracklist is “Hurricane,” which was said to be a song about his wife, Kim Kardashian.

According to Page Six and other reports, West addresses having cheated on Kardashian, 40, after she welcomed their first two children. One insider explained the lyrics in the song.

In “Hurricane,” the rapper notes that he’s acting rich before seemingly confessing that he hooked up with a “new chick.” He then reveals that he knows the truth before stating:

“Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.”

Page Six’s source claimed the track was West’s “testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown.” The insider also explained that the “new chick” wasn’t about Irina Shayk.

The singer and Shayk dated briefly before calling it quits last month while West and Kardashian were separated. The rapper and the KKW Beauty founder dated in 2012 before marrying on May 24, 2014, in Florence, Italy.

Their wedding occurred almost one year after the “Keeping up with the Kardashians (KUWTK)” star and the “Stronger” rapper welcomed their first child together, daughter North West, now-8.

The last time they [Irina Shayk and Kanye West] were spotted together was on a jet returning from the trip.

Kardashian then welcomed their second child, son Saint, 5, in December 2015. The famous couple went on to have two more children in 2018 and 2019, respectively, daughter Chicago, 3, and son Psalm, 2, via surrogate.

"Hurricane" wasn't the only song on West's new album that appears to reference his estranged wife. In "Lord I Need You," the singer seems to allude to his wife appearing at his “Donda” listening parties with their children.

He sang about space and time being a luxury and praised Kardashian for being there to show that she still loved him. The businesswoman filed for divorce from her husband in February 2021.

Regarding West and Shayk, the former couple was first spotted together in June 2021 in Provence, France, where they were celebrating West’s birthday. At the time, they were walking far apart from each other.

The last time they were spotted together was on a jet returning from the trip. Before their alleged relationship concluded, in early July, Page Six said West and Shayk were “cooling off.”
