Recently, Sheeran seems to have broken out of his comfort zone. He shared on Instagram a picture of himself dressed in a striking ensemble, leaving several fans shocked.

Posing playfully with pink shades on, Sheeran stuck his tongue out as he showed off a peace sign. The "Bad Habits" hitmaker sparkled in a familiar fashion. He wrote in the captions:

"I glammed up for the occasion."

Under his silver jacket with long white feathers, he tucked in his shiny shirt in his fitted sequined pants. He pulled off the flashy look for his upcoming music video for "Shivers," which premieres on September 10.

Many fans quickly commented on Sheeran's attention-grabbing post, noting that veteran singer Elton John inspired his look. Another fan jokingly described the "Perfect" singer as "Elton Sheeran."

Two years after tying the knot, Sheeran shared they had no guests at their wedding, which they did on a random night.

Besides the fans, renowned fashion designer Donatella Versace could not help but comment on his style and even approved of it. This is not the first time Sheeran dressed up in John's fashion in public.

Sheeran's glamorous moment comes days after he walked in a rainbow Versace jacket at the 2021 GQ Men of the Year Awards. Later, he revealed that the rock legend helped him dress dashingly.

Although he admitted he does not like wearing suits, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer brushed the thought aside. After John connected him to Donatella, he decided to go for the bold look.

As Sheeran continues to take bold steps in fashion, he previously shocked fans that he had thoughts about ending his illustrious career. He shared in a recent GQ interview that he had wanted to quit.

Quitting was part of his existential crisis last year amid the pandemic and months after his daughter, Lyra Antarctica was born. The award-winning singer also felt he was unemployed at that time.

Sheeran realized that making music is as much part of his life as his daughter and his wife, Cherry Seaborn. The Grammy winner has been married to his 29-year-old wife since 2019.
