"Spencer" star Kristen Stewart showcased an edgy but playful look at the 2021 Met Gala, which showed she has left her princess duties behind on set.
"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart walked into the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2021 Met Gala in an edgy but very stylish Chanel look that incorporated a pink bolero jacket and white pants.
The jacket featured a small pink and black floral print, with ruffle details on the shoulder and front. The coat's collar had a delicate blank ribbon tied in the front of Stewart's neck.
The actress wore straight-leg pants that had a stripe down each pant leg. She completed the look with a smokey eye, nude lip, and a high-ponytail and curled bangs.
Hairstylist Adir Abergel created the 50s pin-up girl-inspired hairdo and shared multiple shots of Stewart's gorgeous strawberry blond hair on his official Instagram account. Alongside one photo he shared:
"I loved creating this moment for this year’s Met Gala with the theme: 'IN AMERICA: A LEXICON Of FASHION' Kristen is my muse forever!"
Stewart received many compliments from fans in the comment section of The Metroplilaton Museum of Art's Instagram photo of her stylish look, which showed her interpretation of the gala's theme.
In the first photo, the actress gave a slight smile and showed off her gorgeous face structure, while in the second photo, she showed her more playful side as she smiled and tilted her head to reveal her curled ponytail.
The rest of the cast includes Jack Farthing who took on the role of Prince Charles...
Many fans remarked how pretty the actress was, including a few who stated that the "Spencer" actress looked like Barbie in the pink look and, of course, with her blond hair.
Stewart's appearance on the red carpet drummed up more excitement for her soon-to-be-released film, "Spencer," in which she portrays the late Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales.
The film recently premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, but fans will have to wait until November to watch the film in theaters. Stewart's role as the Princess of Wales was announced in June 2020.
The film is based on real-life events and is set in 1991, when Diana and Prince Charles were on a Christmas holiday in Sandringham, England. It follows Diana's coming to grips with her tumultuous relationship.
Stewart has spoken publicly about the role and shared with the Los Angeles Times that she worked with a dialect coach and studied posture to prepare for the role. She even fell asleep to recordings of Princess Diana talking.
The rest of the cast includes Jack Farthing, who took on the role of Prince Charles, German model Olga Hellsing who plays Sarah Ferguson, and Thomas Douglas, who portrays Diana's father, Earl John Spencer.
