Tarek El Moussa has become the latest celebrity to test positive for COVID-19. The HGTV reality star has since taken some measures to keep others safe while he battles the virus.
According to E! News, Tarek El Moussa, 40, has contracted the coronavirus. The “Flip or Flop” star’s test results were confirmed to the publication by El Moussa’s representative.
His fiancée, Heather Rae Young, 34, hasn’t tested positive for the virus. The “Flipping 101” star's representative said the testing occurred recently, but El Moussa has been fortunate enough to have no symptoms.
The representative said the reality star was trying to stay safe by quarantining with the “Selling Sunset” star. Both television personalities were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Despite their status, the pair tested for the virus multiple times weekly for filming purposes. Last week, El Moussa had several negative tests except for the one positive one, while Young’s were all negative.
Besides quarantining, El Moussa’s representative also revealed he would be taking a break from filming. The star will only return to his work when his quarantine period is over, with the representative adding:
"Out of an abundance of caution, production immediately postponed filming..."
The source also revealed that El Moussa was taking advice from his doctors during this time. He’s only set to return to work when he tests negative and his quarantine period passes.

According to a different insider, Young’s show has stopped production as a precautionary measure. The whole cast of “Selling Sunset” will be tested again before production can resume.
Besides the sad news of his positive results, some good news indirectly affected El Moussa recently. He found out that his ex-wife, Christina Haack, was engaged to her new boyfriend, Joshua Hall.
El Moussa and Young congratulated the happy couple, with Young wishing them and Haack’s children happiness. The “Christina on the Coast” star and El Mousa share two children: Taylor, 10, and Brayden, 6.
Speaking about his ex-wife, El Moussa allegedly got verbally upset with his ex-wife while filming their show, “Flip or Flop.” According to TMZ, El Moussa wants a new team for his spin-off show, “Flipping 101.”
He allegedly thought someone on the “Flip or Flop” crew snitched on him. However, a Page Six source said he wanted the crew change to try and avoid his wedding plans getting leaked.
