Nicole Kidman Reflects on Exact Moment That Convinced Her to Marry Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban may have been married for fifteen years, but the couple still swoons when the other is mentioned. For example, Kidman recently shared the exact moment she knew Urban was the one.
Not many marriages make it as far as Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s has these days. However, the Australian country star and A-list Hollywood actress have found ways to make their adorable romance work.
In addition to finding ways to make things work, both parties still speak very highly of each other to the press. An example of this is Kidman’s recent appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

Kidman appeared virtually for her memorable interview with Jimmy Fallon. The pair, who almost had a history as fans learned during their previous interview, shared a few laughs and pokes at each other.
However, Fallon switched the gears of the hilariously awkward interaction by asking the actress about her husband. Kidman has been married to Urban since 2006 after meeting in 2005.
Urban and Kidman regularly gush about each other in the media and are not afraid to show public displays of affection. As a result, many are curious about how they keep their love for each other burning.
Fallon finally addressed the curiosity for fans and viewers who have been wondering. The TV host got straight to the point and asked Kidman to tell the story of when she knew her husband was the one.
Fortunately, Kidman’s story was a romantic gesture big enough to be shared on television. The “Nine Perfect Strangers” actress did not skip a beat when reflecting on the rom-com worthy moment that convinced her:
“I came out at 5 a.m. in the morning, and it was my birthday, and he had flowers, and that was it. I was a goner.”
Those who are familiar with most of Kidman’s appearances may recognize the story from a previous interview. The A-lister uncovered her love story for People Magazine and shared a little more from that moment.
In the interview, Kidman revealed it was the morning of her 38th birthday when she found Urban sitting at her apartment stoop. She also shared that he whisked her away on a motorbike for a quick birthday getaway to Woodstock.

The pair had only known each other for six months when Urban decided to make his smooth yet brave move. Fortunately, it worked out perfectly because Kidman recalls the day as the moment she knew she wanted to marry him.
Kidman and Urban married a year after their perfect motorbike adventure and had the ceremony in their home country, Australia. Now, the couple is settled in Nashville with their two daughters Sunday and Faith.
