Power couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas penned loving tributes to each other on their joint birthday celebration. Check out the longtime couple's sweet notes below.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been happily married to "The Kominsky Method" star Michael Douglas for twenty-one years. Besides their solid marriage, the acclaimed actors are blessed with beautiful children.

They share two talented children who will soon follow in their footsteps in the entertainment industry - Dylan, 21, and Carys, 18. In addition to sharing parental responsibilities, the couple also shares the same birthday.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas recently turned 52 and 77 on September 25, respectively. They shared sweet tributes on Instagram in honor of each other. Douglas penned in the caption:

"I've lucked out at this time in my life. I just lucked out. I'm so impressed by her intelligence, sense of humor and work ethic."

He then relived the time he first met his wife at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998, adding that his fantasies came true after knowing they share the same birthdays and love for playing golf.

Douglas shared an old picture of him and Zeta-Jones seated at the same table with glasses of wine in their hands. Meanwhile, the "Mask of Zorro" actress uploaded a more recent snap of them.

Like any couple, Zeta-Jones revealed they also have ups and downs in their union.

The photo showed the two-time Oscar winner lovingly staring at Zeta-Jones, who smiled sweetly at the camera. She wrote: "Here's to more years that we can celebrate September 25 together."

Several gushing fans and Hollywood stars quickly commented on Zeta-Jones' heart-warming post for her loving husband and warmly greeted the celebrity couple on their special day.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas tied the knot in 2000. The "Basic Instinct" actor was previously married to his ex-wife film producer Diandra Luker, with whom he shares 42-year-old son Cameron.

The "Entrapment" actress and his husband celebrated 20 years of marriage last year. Like any couple, Zeta-Jones revealed they also have ups and downs in their union.

Douglas was diagnosed with stage IV throat cancer in 2010. Three years later, the couple separated, and both took time off apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.

Thankfully, they overcame their marital setback and eventually reunited. Despite the challenges in their marriage, Zeta-Jones said she attributed their long-lasting union to maintaining a strong connection.

She said she and Douglas have fun times together and enjoy each other's company. Besides love, she said their relationship was also built on respect and humor.
