Us Weekly: Charlie Sheen to Stop Paying Ex-wife Denise Richards Child Support
Denise Richards won’t be receiving child support from ex-husband Charlie Sheen amid their daughter Sami’s decision to move in with her father after claiming she was abused at her mother’s home.
On Monday, a hearing was held where a judge decided Charlie Sheen, 56, wouldn’t need to pay ex-wife Denise Richards child support. The ruling came after their eldest daughter, Sami, 17, moved in with her father.
As Sheen left the courthouse, he revealed he regarded the ruling as “extremely fair.” He said the verdict was a historical one after filing for the change in December 2019.

The “Wall Street” actor’s ex-wife failed to file paperwork opposing his request, as confirmed by Judge Alexander Giza at this week’s hearing.
Sheen attended the hearing with his lawyer, Gregory Pedrick, but “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” actress failed to show up. Pedrick brought his client’s plea noting how Sheen had custody of Sami and their other daughter, Lola, 16.

Lola and Sami have allegedly been living with their father since April 2021. An Us Weekly source claimed Richards, 50, wasn’t at the hearing because she was out of state working, saying:
“Denise was never served this court date [and Sheen] did this on purpose [so she wasn’t able to be there].”
The insider claimed the “Two and a Half Men” star pushed the court date after filing two years ago. When his ex asked about it, the actor allegedly blew her off for personal reasons.

Sheen reportedly didn’t want the child support records showing what he was paying Brooke Mueller to affect the Richards case. He’d agreed to pay Richards and Mueller the same child support amount.
Last month, Sami shared a TikTok video where she claimed she was happy now that she’d moved out of her mother’s “abusive household.” When it went viral, she made her account private.
A People source confirmed that the teenager had been living with Richards in 2020 but she moved out because her mother set normal parenting rules that she didn’t want to follow.
On the other hand, Sheen allegedly failed to support his ex-wife in implementing the rules, and that’s why their daughter moved in with him. Richards was reportedly saddened by the whole drama.
Besides Lola and Sami, Sheen is also a parent to twin sons, Max and Bob, with his ex, Mueller. In 2013, Richards briefly got custody of the couple’s sons while Mueller and Sheen struggled with substance abuse.
