It feels just like yesterday that Keith Sweat embarked on a quest to wow the world with his distinctive vocal style. This former young entertainer is now a father to grown-up kids who share a likeness to him and makes sure not to live in his shadow.

Keith Sweat is a renowned musician, skilled in singing melodious tunes and write and produce incredible music.

The songwriter and record producer started as a young man ready to showcase his talents, and it did not take long for the world to recognize him.

He began releasing tracks as early as the 1980s, became a pioneer of the new jack swing musical movement, consolidated his position as an iconic entertainer, and is still in the business and improving his music.

His love for his four kids from different relationships is encompassing. Sweat has two daughters from previous relationships and younger sons from his first and only marriage to ex-wife Lisa Wu Hartell.

A year ago, the singer's ex-wife Hartwell intended their kids to join her on the Bravo reality TV show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She explained that having her sons on air would be an exciting experience as they had fantastic personalities.

Sweat thought differently and declined the offer of having his young sons on-screen. He did not sign a waiver granting permission for their appearance because he felt it would exploit the boys.

The father of four added that the show's content was not family-oriented like other shows on Nickelodeon or Disney.

WHO IS LISA WU HARTWELL?

Lisa Wu Hartwell is the former wife of Sweat and current wife to a famous former athlete, Ed Hartwell, who played for the NFL. She is also a great parent who never misses the chance to gush on her babies.

Seven days ago, during the national son's day, Lisa shared a four-slide shot to mark the event, including some throwback moments shared with her kids, and wrote:

"Every day is #nationalsonday beyond blessed to be your mother...my heart outside my body."

While Hartwell is conscious of her duties as a parent, she has also advanced her career and built an empire through diverse businesses. She owns a real estate company known as "Hartwell & Associates."

Sweat's former wife is also an actress, a writer, a model, crested a jewelry line "Wu Girls," and runs a kiddies clothing brand "Hart 2 Hart."

CUSTODY BATTLES

Like many couples, these two have had their fair share of ups and downs. After their marriage ended, the on-screen star slammed her ex-husband with a lawsuit, seeking primary custody of their sons at the Superior Court of Fulton County.

She revealed that after her divorce, she remarried and engaged in businesses that boosted her finances, making her more capable than before.

The first custody battle was in 2003, after their divorce. Sweat was awarded custody despite his busy schedule and claims that he was violent to his former partner. The court established that the kids needed structure, and since he was a great father, he could keep them.

WHO ARE KEITH SWEAT'S GROWN-UP KIDS?

Sweat is dad to Keisha, Keia, Jordan, and Justin. He has always been proud of his fatherhood moments and built a formidable relationship with his kids from a very early age.

According to the entertainer, his kids love him, adore his works and appreciate his time and efforts. They are also grown up and are busy charting their courses.

The Sweat clan learned from their famous dad, and while they inherited his good looks, attitude, and outlook on life, they use their talents to carve out the lives that make them happy.

The youngest, Justin, is an upcoming model and often shares different stunning images, showcasing his craft and handsomeness online. He has thousands of followers, displaying his skill with the title "actor" on his Instagram page.

For Justin, while he loves to show his cute looks, he also flaunts his family. A few years ago, during his dad's birthday, the young man shared a snap of them while celebrating his father's newest works. He wrote:

Sweat's firstborn, Keisha is also proud to be associated with the singer; via her Twitter page, her bio reads: "The daughter of the legendary Keith Sweat but I don't live in his shadow, I make my own rules. If you can see it and believe it, you will achieve it."

She also loves her siblings and does not mind displaying her affection online. In 2017, she posted a photo capturing the smiles of her cheerful siblings and added sweet words befitting a big sister.

She wished her siblings a happy National Siblings Day and alluded that though they drive her crazy, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Not much is known about the other two, but it appears that the Sweat family is a close-knit and happy one with an unquestionable love for each other.
