Soldier Can't Wait to See Deaf Little Brother and Draws in the School Staff to Surprise Him
A Michigan soldier surprised his little brother in school after not seeing each other for years. The sweet moment was caught on camera.
Soldiers have one of the most honorable jobs, which requires a lot of sacrifice and selflessness. From the intense training they go through to being apart from their families, their work is only for those ready to devote their lives to the country.
This, however, makes their job more fulfilling. In addition, spending time with their family and loved ones becomes more precious.

Such was the case for Army Private Second Class Brett Beaver, who had been separated from his family for a year.
Following his graduation from Northville High School, Beaver followed his family members' careers in the military. He said of his brother Max:
"It's kind of hard being away from home because we really love each other. The first person I would take a bullet for would be him."

Beaver communicated with his younger brother through sign language. Like many of their paternal relatives, the little boy was deaf.
Although Beaver needed to return to Virginia, he was able to spend the holidays with his family and bond with Max as much as he could.
Being away from family was undoubtedly something that Beaver needed to get used to. Fortunately, in 2018, he was able to leave his post in Fort Myers, Virginia, and head home to see his family.

As soon as his plane landed in Detroit, Beaver made his way to the Michigan School for the Deaf to see his brother Max. Then seven-year-old had no idea of the surprise.
"I just walked in, and they were like, 'Who are you?' Beaver shared. When he claimed to be Max's brother, Beaver said, "They asked, 'Does he know you're here?' and I said no, and they got all excited."
Before seeing each other, Beaver hid behind the door, and as soon as Max walked out, the two hugged. Max jumped into his brother's arms and clung to him with teary eyes.
"By far, the greatest moment of my life," Beaver admitted. In footage that captured their heartwarming moment, both brothers could be seen beaming with happiness.

Having a loved one serve in the military is undoubtedly difficult, especially for kids like Max and a little girl who went viral on a TikTok video.
In the viral clip posted by her mom, Jerri Dawn, the adorable little girl couldn't hold back her tears as she welcomed home her dad from the military. Their reunion was caught on film and warmed the hearts of those who watched.
