Tiffany Haddish Dated Common for a Year despite Him Not Matching Her Requirements for Her Future Man
Comedian Tiffany Haddish and rapper-actor Common got close during the COVID-19 pandemic and even gushed about each other during interviews. However, they recently split up.
"Girls Trip" actress Tiffany Haddish and her rapper boyfriend Common have reportedly broken up, which upset fans as they seemed like a dream couple. Her "boyfriend requirements" didn't even get in the way of their relationship.
Haddish and Common met in 2019 when they starred in the crime movie "The Kitchen." In the film, Common played her love interest, an FBI agent, while Haddish played the wife of an Irish mobster who recently went to prison.

The couple's relationship turned romantic when they partnered with the online dating platform, Bumble, and created a video of themselves on a virtual date. Later in 2020, the pair shared they were dating.
Although their relationship was relatively new, both Haddish and Common publically gushed about one another. During an appearance on "Live With Kelly and Ryan," Common said:
"[Haddish is a] wonderful woman, a queen, and just a beautiful person... You know, I just care for her a lot, enjoy her, and am grateful to have her in my life. I'm happy."

Haddish was equally forthcoming with sharing her feelings about her relationship with Common. She said it was the first relationship where she felt her partner was not trying to put her down or put her light out.
With the couple's sweet words for each other, some might find their split shocking. According to a source who spoke to People, the two were never in the same city and were too busy for a serious relationship.
Before meeting Common in 2018, Haddish shared with Us Weekly at the Variety Power of Women that her requirements for her future boyfriend were a higher credit score than herself and a man who did not have children.
It is unknown how much Common's credit score is, but he does have a daughter, Omoye, who he shares with his ex, Kim Jones. The couple split when Omoye was only one year old.
Common opened up about his relationship with his daughter in 2019 and said he tried to make sure he was present in her life. However, when she was 19, Omoye admitted to her father that she felt he "didn't fight for [her]."
Common reasoned her feelings could have been because of the complicated situation with her mother as well as him pursuing his career. Despite their estranged relationship, the two have been working on rebuilding and strengthening their relationship.
