Wife Prepares Holiday Gift for Terminally Ill Husband on What Could Be His Last Christmas
The festive season is a time for commemorating and expressing gratitude for everything we have in life - this fact becomes crystal clear when that life may soon be coming to an end.
Andrew Kuzyk has faced his fair share of battles, once managing to beat stage four kidney and skin cancer. Now, he is taking on an even more daunting journey.
However, he and his wife's positive attitude shine's through all the darkness - and what better time to express that light than during Christmas?

A DEVASTATING DISCOVERY
In the middle of 2021, Andrew and his significant other Pamela Kuzyk and their grandchildren survived a car crash.
However, their joy at having escaped what could have been a tragedy was cut short when medical professionals came across a tumor in the husband and grandfather's brain. It was labeled as terminal after a failed surgery.

LOVE IS A VERB
Determined to keep her spouse's spirits up, Pamela arranged a Christmas surprise for him. Opening up about her and Andrew's shared love for the jolly holidays, Pamela expressed:
“We met in Michigan, and we were both crazy about Christmas. We always made it a point to decorate together.”
Choosing to surprise him on the day he returned from the operation, she set out to create a festive landscape around their house. It was decorated to the brim with a plethora of Christmas trees, fake snowmen, and lights, to name a few.

CELEBRATING LIVING
Coming home after his surgery, this loving husband had no idea what a fantastic world he would be walking into. Andrew recollected:
“When I came home and I saw what she had done I was just blown away and I couldn’t tell her I loved her more.”
Sticking to his positive attitude, this phenomenal man has stated that his upcoming passing doesn't bother him too much; he still views life through a beautiful lens, he says, and finds himself extremely lucky.
LIMITED TIME
As Andrew has to, staring death in the face can be terrifying. Nevertheless, just as he chooses to take on a graceful outlook, so does 38-year-old mother Hayley Adams' other half.
Adams was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Her now-husband, 40-year-old Steve Manen, had been meaning to propose to her for a long time.

GETTING ON THE KNEE
Knowing that she could slip away, the besotted partner chose to ask her for her hand in marriage in the hospital on November 18, 2021. Of course, she said yes, stating afterward:
“It was the best day of my life."
Both of these bittersweet stories remind us that we shouldn't wait until we let the ones we care about know we love them. Instead, we should do it now and always take the opportunity to celebrate this short life with those we hold dear to our hearts.
