Bridget Moynahan Learned She Was Pregnant after Split from Tom Brady — They Co-parent with His Wife Gisele Bündchen

While pregnancy news is a cause for celebration for many, for Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan in the police drama "Blue Bloods," the news came with mixed feelings.

Moynahan, 49, discovered that she was pregnant only two months after splitting from the 43-year-old future Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady.

The pair had dated for two years before they decided to go separate ways. The pregnancy was even more dramatic because Brady was already dating supermodel Gisele Bündchen, his now-wife.

While the family presents a united front today, raising their blended family peacefully, things were not always smooth at the beginning. First, Brady was not present during his son John "Jack" Edward Thomas's birth.

Moynahan says he was there earlier in the day, then he came afterward, but he was not holding her hand during the process of childbirth.

Secondly, it was tough for Bündchen, having just started dating Brady. Dealing with the idea that Brady's ex-girlfriend was pregnant was no easy fit.

Bündchen would later disclose that she'd been at a loss on what to do at the time, sometimes even toying with the idea of running away.

But so many years down the line, the supermodel could not be more grateful for the extra family given to her when she wasn't searching. She says she couldn't ask for a sweeter bonus child.

Bündchen also got a bonus relationship as a result of the bizarre occurrence. A friend of the family disclosed that Bündchen and Moynahan speak more often than Brady and Moynahan do.

Bündchen and Brady eventually grew their family and welcomed son Benjamin in 2009, followed by their daughter Vivian in 2012. However, Jack is just as part of the family as the two.

The boy in the middle of all the drama is now 14 years old, and his parents couldn't be prouder. They took to social media to celebrate their son's milestone with sweet tributes. Brady wrote on his Instagram:

"I am so proud of the young man you are. You always try your best, you put others first, and you bring so much joy to our lives."

Moynahan also remarried, tying the knot with Andrew Frankel in 2015. She is now a step-mom to Frankel's three kids from a previous marriage. A golf lover herself, Moynahan is grateful that her new family, including her sons, all play.

Despite the complexities of their family dynamic, Brady is grateful for the women in his life and often appreciates them.

For Mother's Day this year, Brady posted beautiful tributes to Bündchen, accompanied by a photo of his wife and their kids. Later on, he posted a photo of himself, his wife, his ex-girlfriend, and their son.
