Hollywood icon Liza Minnelli's personal life was just as interesting as her professional life as she was married four times and two of her husbands were allegedly gay.
"Cabaret" star Liza Minnelli has been married and divorced four times. Her first husband was Peter Allen, and according to the book "David Bowie Made Me Gay," Minnelli found him in bed with a man on their wedding night.
A few days before her 21st birthday, in 1967, Minnelli tied the knot to the songwriter, stage performer, and musician. Although they stayed married for eight years, their first night as husband and wife shocked Minnelli.

In Darryl W. Bullock's book, "David Bowie Made Me Gay: 100 Years of LGBT Music," Bullock wrote that Minnelli found her new husband in bed with her mother, Judy Garland's fourth husband, Mark Herron, on their wedding night.
Furthermore, Bullock wrote the two men had a sexual relationship during their marriages. Garland divorced Herron that same year, while Minnelli and Allen stayed together until 1974.
Herron was an actor. He met Garland in 1964, and the couple got married in 1965. He helped produce a few of her concerts during their relationship, but Garland and Herron separated six months after their wedding.
Years later, in 1996, the "Arthur" actress discussed her first husband's sexuality during an interview. Minnelli explained that the experience made her re-think surprising people at home, as she was quoted saying:
"[I] married Peter and he didn't tell me he was gay. Everyone knew but me. And I found out...well, let me put it this way: I'll never surprise anybody coming home as long as I live."
Unfortunately, Minnelli's following three marriages would not play out any better than her first marriage. During the same year as her divorce from Allen, the "Liza With A Z" star married director Jack Haley Jr.
The former couple had a close relationship and even worked on "Life Goes to the Movies" together. However, an article from The Guardian described their relationship as a friendship rather than a romantic relationship between lovers.
Haley and Minnelli were married for five years and then divorced in 1979. That same year, Minnelli married sculptor, Mark Gero. The couple was together until 1992, when the relationship soured, and they split up.
