While Sloan found a way to battle her illness, she and her husband made the news after a woman came out with a claim that the actor sexually abused her. The allegations caused a lot of controversies on social media, and Baio's name was dragged in the mud.

Sloan tried clearing her husband's name as she tweeted about how the lady's allegations were false and claimed that Baio was innocent. However, her tweet only led to further attacks from some viewers.

Sloan’s Life-Threatening Health Issues

During an interview, Sloan and Baio opened up about her brain tumor, which they had to explain to their daughter. Asked if he ever thought what to do without his wife, Baio revealed that he did have such thoughts as he went on to say:

"It was nothing about me in it. It was all about our kid but I would have been devastated but for our daughter, because she's everything to us so that would crush her."

During the interview, Sloan revealed their daughter caught Baio crying on her shoulder in the kitchen before they explained the situation to their little girl. According to Sloan, seeing her daddy cry, Bailey, who didn't know what was going on, asked her to apologize for making Baio cry.

Meanwhile, this isn't the first health crisis for Baio's family. In 2010, Sloan was diagnosed with DCIS stage 0-1 early breast cancer, but she had a successful lumpectomy. She has since undergone two other lumpectomies, most recently in 2014.
