ROMANCE WITH SCHIFFMAN
In 2013, Kotb was invited to speak at an event for Wall Street professionals and subsequently signed a couple of her books.
She was still autographing the books when financier Schiffman walked up to her with a book and asked her to sign it to him. Afterward, the pair exchanged emails and later met up for a date which kick-started their romantic relationship.
Kotb and Schiffman took their relationship a step further when they went on a double date with TV star and "Today" co-host Kathie Lee Gifford and her late husband, Frank Gifford.
The TV star was a little tight-lipped about her relationship with Schiffman and would not say his name on her show. She also referred to him as Boots and only showed his shoes to hide his identity.
However, everything changed, and their relationship was made public when The Daily Mail released pictures of the couple on the beach.
Kotb could not keep their relationship a secret anymore, and she declared that after two years of being together, Schiffman did not care if people knew about their relationship.

In October 2016, Kotb told everyone that she and Schiffman have decided to move in together on her SiriusXM series "The Hoda Show."
The TV host, who was previously married to Tennis Coach Burzis Kanga from 2005 till 2007, revealed that at 50, she was scared to inform her mother of the decision to move in with Schiffman. She said:
"I was afraid. I don't know why! I know it sounds weird—I've been married, it's like, whatever. Anyway, it's all happening."

Kotb explained that it had been a long time since she lived with anyone, and she was a little concerned about herself. She also wondered if Schiffman would cope with living with her.
FAMILY HOME
The couple owns two homes: One in upper Manhattan and another in Long Island, New York, where they live with their daughters, Hayley Joy and Hope Catherine.
The four-bedroom waterfront property features an open-plan living room and kitchen decorated with a muted cream color scheme.
Rustic wooden kitchen cupboards and a soft linen couch with matching cushions complete the rooms to give them a cozy and comfortable feel. The TV star also displays her children's paintings and drawings on the fridge-freezer.
The living room also has a geometric print rug on the floor and two white wooden tables underneath the Television. There is also a baby talker, a pack of baby wipes, and tissue on one side.
The dining room has a wooden table and matching wooden chairs with white frames. It has a makeshift ice cream shop from their dining room window with pink and yellow post-it notes stuck as signs on the windows.
The hallway features a winding staircase with several framed photographs showcased on the walls.
The kids Haley and Hope have a playroom with multiple paintings attached to a string on one wall, multicolored balloons, a whiteboard, and a variety of toys kept on one side of the room.
There is also a flatscreen mounted on the wall under a ring light which the family used to answer Zoom calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, the couple's bedroom has grey walls and wooden drawers.
MOTHERHOOD AND FAMILY LIFE
Kotb's life comes with a little bit of chaos, and even though she loves her home and tries to keep it organized, the task is made difficult by her kids.
The kitchen cabinet door is always open, thanks to her youngest daughter making a mess around the home.
During a home tour, one of the open cabinets could be seen harboring an old blackberry phone and an expired driver's license. Kotb playfully admits that maybe she is wired to be disorganized.
Even though the house is cluttered, the mother of two explained it was once nearly empty when she moved in with her first daughter Haley Joy in 2017.
The only things she had at the time were a Rock' n Play bassinet, Pampers, and formula. Kotb also had to learn how to take care of a child because she was a new mom.
The task was not that hard, thanks to the help she got from her boyfriend, Schiffman, who had prior experience with childcare; he is a dad to his daughter, Kyle, from a previous relationship.
Kotb knew she could count on Schiffman, and the couple had no reservations when they adopted their second child together, Hope Catherine, in 2019.
SPECIAL CHRISTMAS AND VALENTINE'S DAY
Hoda Kotb and Schiffman hold a Christmas tradition with their kids. The couple held separate tree-lighting ceremonies for their adorable daughters.
In a series of clips she shared on Instagram, the TV star held her youngest daughter Hope on one knee while Schiffman counted down to the time the family's Christmas tree was set aglow.
The couple screamed in delight as soon as the small tree adorned with red and gold ornaments sparkled with bright lights. Haley Joy could be seen sitting on her mother's lap as she counted down with her parents in a second clip.
Valentine's day is also exceptional for the couple because it was the day they adopted their first child Hayley Joy.
Even though the couple observes the day as lovers, it is more significant because of their happiness holding Hayley Joy for the first time.
