Chris Daughtry Confirms the Cause of His Stepdaughter's Death at 25 - Who Are His 3 Other Children?

Singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry's family is still mourning the loss of Hannah Price. They received the unbelievable news that she was no more last November. The 25-year-old was Daughtry's stepdaughter.

Hannah Price passed on two months ago at her home in Fentress County, Tennessee. Initially, the cause of death had been unknown and became the cause of speculation.

However, two months after the fateful occurrence, and after a complete investigation by law enforcement, the family has released a statement saying that Price took her own life.

The family disclosed that Price struggled with mental illness from an early age and had been in and out of therapy and treatment centers for years.

The Daughtry family readily supported her through her tough years, and right before she passed on, plans had been underway for her to move closer to the rest of the family and get the much-needed professional help.

In their statement, the family referred to Price as a loving and generous person who wanted more, not only for herself but for others.

The "Life After You" singer was devastated, mainly because he'd lost his mother to cancer just days earlier. Following Price's passing, Daughtry posted a lengthy Instagram tribute saying in part:

"I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken."

The singer shared that he's still been processing his mother's passing, and Price's death was a massive hit to the family.

HOMICIDE?

Following her daughter's death, Price's mother, Deanna Daughtry, came forward to shut down rumors that the authorities were investigating Price's death as a homicide.

Deanna said she'd shared concerns with her closest people, who'd misinterpreted her and ran to the police with the speculations. She asked people to let the investigation play out.

Many recognize Daughtry from his days at "American Idol" and as the frontman for his rock band "Daughtry." In addition to his career as a successful rock musician, Daughtry is also a doting dad.

The blended family comprises Deanna's children, Price, and Griffin, from a previous relationship. After Daughtry and Deanna married in 2000, they welcomed twins Noah and Adalynn via surrogate.

The songwriter often gushes over his children, and in a 2013 interview, he shared that he would always fight for them and pick them up whenever they fell.

When he is not rocking fans with his beautiful music, the "Call My Name" singer loves to spend some quality fun time with his family.
