MEAT LOAF MAKES AN ODD PROPOSAL
Before their divorce, Leslie and Meat Loaf were the most admired couple. The pair first met in the late '70s — at the beginning of the musician's success.
Meat Loaf, his friend Todd Rundgren and the rest of the crew visited Bearsville Records' recording studio. At the time, Leslie worked there as a secretary.
She was beautiful, and it was only a matter of time before the musician fell in love with her. Meat Loaf looked for the best way to wow Leslie, and he found it.

He made what Rundgren tagged as his "first big move." Rundgren witnessed his friend propose to Leslie most oddly. He recalled how it went down during an interview in 2017.
Rundgren revealed that he and Meat Loaf were at the Bear Cafe when the latter gave Leslie a package he brought from New York.
Inside the present was a whole giant salmon. Rundgren said at that point; it was as though a bear had "proposed to his mate." Instead of using a ring, he used a salmon.

THEIR WEDDING WAS AWKWARD
Although the proposal was not regular, the former lovebirds tied the knot within a month. They got married in Rundgren's house, and he mentioned that it was a funny and awkward ceremony.
The man said the priest that joined the couple was so old that it was hard differentiating between the bride and the groom. According to Rundgren, the priest focused on Leslie and said:
"Do you Marvin, take Leslie as your lawful wedded wife?"

However, the man standing next to the priest intervened and whispered everything into his ear. Rundgren revealed that it was an amusing sight.
