Andy Serkis Is a Father of 3 Kids with Wife Lorraine Ashbourne — All of Them Follow in His Footsteps
Andy Serkis is as good an actor as he is a father. The 57-year-old who plays Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy is a husband and a father whose children have followed in his footsteps.
Andy Serkis has had a successful career in film, having starred in some hit films and series. Some of his most recognized movie credits include "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," Planet of the Apes" reboot series, and "King Kong."
But besides his film career and achievements, the star is a husband and a father. Serkis married the "True Dare Kiss" actress Lorraine Ashbourne in July 2002, and together, they have three children Ruby, Sonny, and Louis.

Based on a quick peek at Serkis' Instagram, his kids have not only inherited their fathers' good looks but have taken after his enviable acting skills as well.
RUBY ASHBOURNE SERKIS
Serkis' first child Ruby is also an actress and has appeared in some films alongside her father. She is known for her role in "La Cha Cha," "The Serpent," and also in "The Letter for the King," where Serkis plays her on-screen father.
While Ruby admits that acting alongside her father is an experience in itself, given his years of experience, Serkis' says he often embarrasses his daughter on stage. He admitted:
"I'm sure I embarrass Ruby cos that's what dads are for, but she's very good, and she doesn't let me know it when I do embarrass her."
Luckily, Ruby sees it as an opportunity to learn from her father and embraces the rare chance and fun they both have on set.
SONNY ASHBOURNE SERKIS
Serkis' middle child Sonny also followed in her father's footsteps and has appeared in the superhero film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," the high fantasy adventure film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," and Child 44.
LOUIS ASHBOURNE SERKIS
Louis, the youngest, is also an actor who made his film debut playing Young Hatter in "Alice Through the Looking Glass," at only 12. In July 2017, he played Peter in the English version of "Mary and the Witch's Flower."
He has also appeared in "The Current War." In November 2018, he appeared as the wolf cub Bhoot in "Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle," directed by and co-starring his father.
His latest role was in February 2019, when he starred as Alex in "The Kid Who Would Be King." In the fantasy action-adventure film, Louis' character, Alex, is picked on until he finds and pulls King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, and must stop an ancient villain and save the world.
When he's not trying to save the world, the 17-year-old often accompanies his father at red carpet events. In 2021, the duo looked dapper at "The Harder They Fall" premiere in London in matching navy blue suits as they posed for photos.
Louis appears to have learned from the industry's best. In 2019, he admitted that he often looked up to his father's advice. So far, Serkis' best expert advice for his son has been to not look into the camera, a habit Louis has since picked up.
