Cynthia Kaye McWilliams recently took her career to a new level following her role in the trending series, "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey." Here's more info about her career.

Cynthia Kaye McWilliams is one of the most versatile and talented actors in Hollywood at the moment. The actress is well known for starring in various roles alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names, like comedian Kevin Hart in "Real Husbands of Hollywood."

After a six-year break, the show recently thrilled its viewers with its return to the big screen.

McWilliams also voices Gamora in Marvel Studios' animated series "What If...?" and stars alongside veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson in the Apple original series "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey."

The series is a six-episode drama based on Walter Mosley's novel of the same title. Jackson brings his years of experience to bear, playing the role of the 91-year-old Ptolemy Gray, who is almost losing his mind to dementia.

Gray has one last chance to restore his memories, but in doing so, he must confront his past while simultaneously attempting to uncover the mystery behind his nephew's death.

McWilliams stars as Jackson's wife, Sensia. The 40-year-old recently described the mini-series as one of the biggest projects of her life, acting alongside Jackson, who she said was initially difficult.

McWilliams confessed to falling in love with her onscreen character, Sensia. The actress gave it her all while preparing for the significant role, including studying the novel to understand her character better.

The last few years have been amazing for McWilliams' career. The actress began by playing smaller roles, but her acting skills have garnered the praise of both her fans and critics.

Although she was born in Berlin, Germany, McWilliams spent most of her growing up in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from DePaul University's famous Theater School in Chicago, Illinois.

After graduating from college, McWilliams landed a supporting role in Warner Brothers' "The Lake House." Her next adventure was a recurring role in the hit series "Prison Break."

McWilliams bagged the lead roles in the pilot" Family Practice." But despite this inflow of scripts, her career was not making much progress. She remained in Chicago, gaining experience in short movies before returning to television in another FOX series, "Chicago Code."

McWilliams relocated from Chicago to Los Angeles in search of more jobs. After an initial disappointment, she landed a series regular spot on the NAACP award-winning sitcom "The Real Husbands of Hollywood." The show gave McWilliams the visibility she needed for her career.

McWilliams is notoriously private about her personal life. Details about her past relationships are scanty, and her social media pages give no clue about her love life. But the actress is most likely single, according to multiple reports.

Also, McWilliams has not been previously engaged and has no children. So far, the "Last Days of Ptolemy Grey" actress seems to be more focused on her career and other areas of interest.
