Jane Leeves' character in "The Resident," Dr. Kit Voss, made such an important decision that it got the audience wondering about Leeves' love life.

British actress Jane Leeves showed up on the entertainment industry scene in the 1980s with appearances in "To Live and Die in L.A.," "Throb," and "Murder, She Wrote."

She achieved worldwide fame in 1993 when she booked the part of Daphne Moon in "Frasier," a role she played for 11 years. Since 2018, Leeves has portrayed Dr. Kit Voss in Fox's medical drama "The Resident."

Warning: Spoilers for "The Resident" season 5, episode 20.

The orthopedic surgeon began working at Chastain Memorial Hospital in the second season, and Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) fell in love with her almost immediately.

Randolph and Kit's romance slowly developed over the episodes, and their relationship became a significant element in the show. In season 5, episode 20, "Fork in the Road," the couple makes an important decision that could change their future.

The funeral of Dr. AJ Austin's mom makes Randolph revisit his own will. He wants to ensure that his son, granddaughter, and Kit will be taken care of if something happens to him.

He mentions that Georgia doesn't recognize common law marriage, meaning that including Kit in his will could be complicated because they are not married.

When Kit casually mentions that they should marry, Randolph jokes that it was a cheap proposal. "You didn't even get down on one knee?" he asks, and Kit answers that although she loves him deeply, she kneels for no man.

Randolph doesn't say yes, but he and Kit spend most of the episode planning their wedding. In the final scene, Randolph and Kit talk about what their wedding should be like at a restaurant and agree that the guest list must be short.

She is also an actress and has appeared on "Modern Family."

Kit then gets down on one knee and asks Randolph if he wants to marry her. Randolph kneels with her, pulls out an engagement ring, and says

"Thank God, because I can't return this."

Kit Voss and Randolph Bell's proposal on "The Resident" was so special that it made people wonder about Jane Leeves' family. The "Seinfeld" alum is married to Paramount Television executive Marshall Coben

The couple has kept most details of their relationship under wraps, but they tied the knot in 1996. Leeves got pregnant with her first child while working on "Frasier" season 8 in 2000.

Marshall Coben and Jane Leeves' daughter, Isabella, was born in January 2001. She is also an actress and has appeared on "Modern Family" and "Young Sheldon."

In April 2018, Isabella joined her famous mother at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Los Angeles for the premiere of "Patrick Melrose," and their uncanny similarity attracted a lot of attention.

Jane Leeves and her husband welcomed their second kid, Finn, in 2004. The actress eventually revealed that she would not have more children because of the impact the pregnancies had on her physical appearance. Her beautiful family is complete.
