When "Stranger Things" first aired in 2016, it gripped fans and turned the world upside down. The investigative drama series set in the 1980s focuses on the fictional town of Hawkins and has attracted an international fan base. Here is a look at how far the cast has come since 2016.

Six years after the debut of its first season, the cast gathered again for the premiere of season 4 on May 14, 2022. From the all-cast ensemble on the red carpet, one could see how much the kids have grown.

The season 4 premiere had the cast pulling out all the stops with their looks. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, showed off some legs in a custom Louis Vuitton white bustier gown with one shoulder sheer black tulle.

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, wore an asymmetrical Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello black satin shirt paired with grey trousers. Matthew Modine, who plays Martin Brenner, wore a brown printed Christian Dior matching ensemble.

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, complemented his purple Hublot watch with a pink jacket over an all-white ensemble. Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair brought old school vibes with a printed fur-trimmed jacket and matching flared trousers.

Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, was all about multiple mixed prints with his suit. Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield, gave off a chic modern look with her custom Prada white suit with an oversized blazer and padded shoulders.

Priah Ferguson, who plays Erica Sinclair, wore a sleeveless black peplum dress with a floor-length mesh overlay. Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley wore a black Christian Dior spaghetti strap embroidered gown.

Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler, wore a Saint Laurent gown featuring a wild explosion of feathers on the bodice. Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers, showed up in a moss green Richard James corduroy suit paired with a white mock turtleneck.

Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington was dapper in a tailored two-tone grey suit with a skinny tie, while Winona Ryder, who plays Joyce Byers, looked chic in an oversized three-piece black suit.

David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper, wore an artistic custom Union Western suit. Cara Buono, who plays Karen Wheeler, looked stunning in a floor-length, light, and airy lilac gown.

Brett Gelman, who plays Murray Bauman, opted for a retro look with a green fringe jacket on top of a pair of multi-colored striped trousers. Eduardo Franco, who joins in season 4 as Argyle, wore a purple jacket paired with a colorful geometric print tie.

Joseph Quinn, who also joins the cast in season 4 as Eddie Munson, wore a blue pinstripe Kenzo suit paired with a white shirt while layering with a grey scarf and a matching blue kimono.

Some cast members have gone on to star in other shows and make names for themselves with their passion. Brown starred in "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and produced Netflix's "Enola Holmes" while starring in it.

Offscreen, Matarazzo is dating Lizzy Yu, whom he gushed about, and revealed that she gets along with his siblings and his family loves her. Schnapp went on to star in "Abe," "Legend of Hallowaiian," "We Only Know So Much," and more.

Wolfhard worked on other movies such as "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "Carmen Sandiego." He was the lead vocalist and guitarist for the rock band "Calpurnia" before joining "The Aubreys."

McLaughlin made appearances on "Shades of Blue," "Concrete Cowboy," "Blue Bloods," and more. In 2019, he announced that he would be heading for college.

"Stranger Things" season 4 promises to be more bizarre than ever, according to Sink. In an interview, she said:

"It's the most bizarre season we've ever had. Just the scale of it is out of this world."

The trailer shows Sink's character mourning the loss of Billy Hargrove, and later, she was levitating at his gravesite. She refused to talk about the episode but revealed that it was wild, and she said the newly introduced creepy villain was "really scary."
