On May 25, 2022, British supermodel Kate Moss testified for Johnny Depp in his and Amber Heard's defamation trial. Heard had previously mentioned a rumor about Depp supposedly causing Moss to fall down a flight of stairs in court.

However, Moss revealed that she actually slid because the floor was wet due to a rainstorm. Instead of "pushing" or "kicking" her, Depp carried her to their room and got her medical attention. Depp and Moss were an "it" couple in the 1990s, so why did they break up?

WHEN DID JOHNNY DEPP AND KATE MOSS DATE?

Celebrity columnist George Wayne took credit for introducing Depp and Moss at a coffee shop in New York in 1994. However, their relationship started on the wrong foot as authorities arrested Depp for trashing a hotel room while Moss slept.

It is essential to point out that the former couple kept most details of their romance away from the spotlight, leading to a few breakup rumors in 1997.

In 1998, one year after people were convinced Johnny Depp and Kate Moss were no longer a couple, they attended the Cannes Film Festival together. Later that year, they parted ways.

Although they only dated from 1994 to 1998, Moss admitted Depp was the only person capable of taking care of her. She spent years crying after they split.

WHY DID JOHNNY DEPP AND KATE MOSS BREAK UP?

Depp assumed all responsibility for their separation. He blamed being stupid and not prioritizing his and Moss' relationship over his acting career as the main reasons. Depp said:

"I have been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship. […] I was difficult to get on with, I let my work get in the way, and I didn't give her the attention [she deserved]."

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star added that he should not have paid too much attention to what people said about his work. And even if he did, he should not have taken his worries to their home.

Moss confessed she lost that "gauge" of having somebody she could trust as a partner following their split. She even described the years following their separation as a nightmare.

WHO ELSE DID KATE MOSS DATE?

Johnny Depp is not the only celebrity Kate Moss has dated, though. After breaking up with the "Fantastic Beasts" actor, Moss met Spacehog guitarist Antony Langdon, and they dated from 1998 to 1999.

Moss then dated Jefferson Hack, the former editor of Dazed & Confused magazine. They welcomed a girl, Lila Grace, in September 2002 but called it quits in early 2004.

In 2005, Moss dated Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty, but their relationship was short-lived. Two years later, she met The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. They married in July 2011 and divorced in 2015.

Nowadays, Kate Moss and Count Nikolai von Bismarck are dating. Although she is notoriously private about her dating life, Moss revealed being in love made her feel beautiful.
