Roseanne Barr's long-running career in showbiz has come with a slew of achievements, a fair share of controversies, and personal life struggles. One of these is the weight loss issues she has battled continuously.
For most of her career, iconic comedian Roseanne Barr has been in and out of weight loss measures, going as far back as the 90s. Towards the end of her show, "Roseanne," in 1997, fans saw the TV star at her heaviest weight.
The actress weighed 350 pounds and knew she needed a turning point. In 1998, Barr underwent weight-loss surgery; since then, she has had some work done on her body. Despite these measures, Barr has a routine to maintain her weight.

In the late '90s, the TV actress underwent gastric bypass surgery, which resulted in an 80-lbs weight loss. Speaking with People, Barr made it known that she had a" huge overhang" after the surgery and had to undergo a tummy tuck. She relayed:
"I had my entire digestive system removed, so I should look thinner!"
Barr had more alterations done on her body, as she mentioned working on her nose. She stated that her nose used to be round, but her surgeon "narrowed it." Barr also had breast reduction surgery.

During that 2003 interview with the publication, she admitted wanting more procedures but was cautious about her age and how the surgeries could turn out. In another interview, Barr opined that nip and tucks were okay as far as people felt the need to do them.
SHE LOST WEIGHT A SECOND TIME
The stand-up comedian was spotted at an NBC event where she did not mind discussing her weight loss. Barr stated that she had been eating well and exercising regularly.

A NEW APPROACH TO WEIGHT LOSS
In June 2014, Barr appeared on Today, where she dished her new approach to keeping weight gain at bay. The star explained that she went on a new diet and described it as "radical and revolutionary." During her interview, Barr did not discuss her weight on scales.
She emphasized that she was more in tune with overall health and was ready to stick with the approach that yielded results. She included for good measure:
"I just want to keep getting healthy and let go of excess baggage to carry around, so I'm lighter on my feet and in my life."

Another approach that seems to be contributing to her healthy lifestyle is the slight tilt towards a vegan diet.
Over the years, Barr has been known to be quite critical about going vegan, but it seemed she did not mind a plant-based diet.
This was after she moved to her Macadamia nut farm in Hawaii. Speaking about her new lifestyle in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Barr shared:
"I'm a farmer now, and it's fantastic. My goal is to be totally self-sufficient and grow everything I eat."
The 65-year-old revealed at another time that she was really into farming. Barr noted that she and her family were into animal husbandry, keeping their own animals, and planting crops.
WHAT DOES ROSEANNE LOOK LIKE THESE DAYS?
Almost two decades after "Roseanne" ended, the show got a reboot in 2018. The comeback was a record-breaking success as ABC raked in millions of dollars. However, this achievement did not last long.
Months after her show returned to TV, Barr found herself in a racism controversy. She had made a tweet attacking Valerie Jarett, who served as former President Obama's senior adviser.
Almost after she made the tweet, ABC announced that "Roseanne" had been canceled. This was reportedly the consequence of Barr's action on social media. The production company explained that such misconduct was highly frowned upon in the organization.
Following the shattering consequences of her action, Barr deleted the tweet, but the damage had been done. She laid low for a while, keeping off the showbiz scenery.
However, fans saw more of the TV star on Instagram. In one of her glamorous posts, the star proved that she has kept working on her body and health.
Barr flaunted her trim frame in a figure-hugging dress that accentuated her curves. She let fans know in her caption that she was "feeling good" and "looking better."
She let up more inspiring looks on her page, and Barr slipped into shapewear in one post. The outfit outlined her trim limbs and flat tummy. Barr stated that she owed the frequent weight loss to gardening.
While she keeps looking lighter on her feet and supple with the help of weight loss, Barr's fans have expressed their worries.
Some followers thought she was skinny and needed to eat more. However, other admirers gushed over Barr's slim form and demanded to know the secret.
