Undoubtedly, Melissa Gisoni was one of the spectacular moms to join the 2011 riveting TV show "Dance Moms."

Once she began appearing, fans swayed to her side as she was also the beloved of Abby Lee Miller, her daughter's dance instructor.

Their relationship stirred awe and controversy among fans and other women in the show. However, this did not bother the BFFs, who remained inseparable until it was no longer possible.

Indeed, the show paved the way for Gisoni and her little girls, Mackenzie and Maddie Ziegler, to taste fame.

While the mother-of-two was in a BFF relationship with the dance institute owner, Maddie was also Miller's favorite, owing to her perfection.

However, along the line, Gisoni and her daughters fell out with Miller, the non-conforming dance instructor, whose love for perfection expected of her students made it difficult for many to relate with her.

Following their departure from the show, the family's matriarch resorted to living away from the prying eyes of the media while her kids advanced their professions.

Their mother, who has remained supportive of the girls, is living her best life behind the stardom and enjoying life as an ageless woman. She turns 54 years old today.

WHERE IS MELISSA ZIEGLER NOW?

Gisoni, also called Melissa Ziegler (Gisoni is her second husband's name), has expressed her thoughts about staying away from TV as long as possible. While she is her kids' number one fan, cheering them throughout, she chose a lifestyle that involves no camera attention.

Instead, she partnered with three other women, Holly Frazier, Jill Vertes, and Kelly Hyland, to launch a podcast titled "Because Mom Said So."

Amid the podcast, Gisoni enjoys sharing her moments online with more than three million Instagram followers, showing off her routine with the family's dog and her vivacious daughters.

Through it all, Gisoni is concerned about her daughters' lives, especially with men, especially Maddie, her youngest. When speaking about her parenting, she said:

"I'm more protective than I was before the fame. I watch her more. I always worry about men following her."

Despite being a mama bear, Gisoni commends her babies for becoming successful on their own. She explained that while going on "Dance Moms" might have been her idea, her girls were responsible for the success they amassed.

Leaving the show allowed them to roam free, and explore other opportunities, as they begged for it—Gisoni listened. So far, neither of them has disappointed their family or fans.
